Po pěti měsících vývoje od vydání verze 1.15 byla vydána (YouTube) nová major verze 2.0 (2.0.1309.29) webového prohlížeče Vivaldi (Wikipedie). Přináší především synchronizaci uživatelských dat. Novinkou jsou také plovoucí panely. Dále je vylepšena přizpůsobitelnost nebo i práce s listy. Nejnovější Vivaldi je postaveno na Chromiu 69.0.3497.102.

Opera 56, verze 56.0.3051.31, byla prohlášena za stabilní. Z novinek vývojáři upozorňují například na vylepšenou funkci vyskakovacích videí - v plovoucím rámci lze nově nastavovat hlasitost. Společnost Oracle oficiálně oznámila vydání Java SE 11 (JDK 11). Jedná se o verzi s prodlouženou podporou (LTS). Nových vlastností (JEP - JDK Enhancement Proposal) je 17. Nové verze Java SE vychází každých 6 měsíců.

Byla vydána (en) betaverze Fedory 29. Jedná se o poslední zastávku před finálním vydáním a vzhledem k tomu, že byla zrušena alfa, tak také o první. K dispozici je v oficiálních edicích Workstation, Server a Atomic a také v podobě spinů, labů a verze pro ARM. Vydání Fedory 29 je plánováno na 30. října.

Kniha je volně k dispozici na stránkách curlu nebo ke stažení ve formátech PDF, MOBI a EPUB. Cloudflare spustil experimentální provoz ESNI - šifrovaného SNI (Server Name Indication), které umožňuje chránit soukromí uživatelů přistupujících k webům přes HTTPS. ESNI je podporováno zatím v testovací verzi Firefoxu. Při současném použití šifrovaného DNS (DNS-over-TLS či DNS-over-HTTPS) tak ISP či státy již nebudou mít žádnou přesnou možnost, jak kontrolovat či blokovat stránky, ke kterým uživatelé přistupují. Byla vydána nová major verze 1.8.0 open source systému pro filtrování nevyžádané pošty Rspamd (GitHub, ChangeLog). Z novinek lze zmínit nový framework selectors, optimalizaci modulu ClickHouse nebo vylepšení webového rozhraní.

Sabri Haddouche vytvořil stránku Browser Reaper, na které demonstruje zranitelnosti současných verzí webových prohlížečů Chrome, Safari i Firefox. Zveřejněné skripty dokážou zahltit nejen webové prohlížeče, ale v závislosti na nastavení, také celé operační systémy.

Do 30. října se lze přihlásit do dalšího kola programu Outreachy (Wikipedie), jehož cílem je přitáhnout do světa svobodného a otevřeného softwaru lidi ze skupin, jež jsou ve světě svobodného a otevřeného softwaru málo zastoupeny. Za 3 měsíce práce, od 4. prosince 2018 do 4. března 2019, v participujících organizacích lze vydělat 5 500 USD.

Postup zprovoznění pod Linuxem

Instalace. U mne je to Arch Linux. Problém byl s acpi, kde vyskakovaly nějaké chyby. Řešení jsem nalezl googlem - vložit "noacpictimer ec_burst=1" do parametrů jádra. Dále je potřeba balíky synaptics (extra) pro ovladač touchpadu a 855resolution (AUR), který umožňuje patchnout grafiku kvůli nastavení rozlišení 1680x1050. Je potřeba upravit /etc/conf.d/855resolution, kde je potřeba doplnit hodnoty "5c" "1680 1050". Potom do /etc/rc.conf do DAEMONS přidat 855resolution.

Vypíchnu sem ještě xorg.conf

Debian testing/unstable (xorg 6.9.0.dfsg.1-4, distribucni kernel 2.6.15-8) mel s grafikou i915 problemy (asi bugy) - bylo nutne sekci "Device" obohatit o dva radky

Prvni zpusobil, ze se grafika zobrazila (nikoliv jen cerna obrazovka) a druhy, ze se ukazal i kurzor mysi.

Dale byly problemy s rozchozenim disku/dvd-rom. Instalaci spustit jako

a vlozit do nej radek

Pote ukoncit shell a instalace bude nadale pokracovat i se spravne nadetekovanym diskem a dvd-rom. Od jadra 2.6.16 by to mela byt jiz implicitni hodnota jadra, takze by s instalaci na SATA zarizeni nemely byt problemy.

s wifi, lan i keningston nebyly problemy

Po prechodu na debiani distribucni 2.6.16 mi nejela mys ani touchpad - nebyly vytvoreny zarizeni

Po nacteni modulu
mousedev
to jiz funguje.

Poznámka

HW se zdá identifikovaný včetně čtečky paměťových karet. Netestováno: čtečka paměťových karet, firewire, keningston, modem, lan, wifi, externí video.

Update: Čtečka karet funkční\ Update: Externi video funkční, LAN funkční, wifi funkční (debian 4.0 Etch). Citlivost testovaného touch padu je opravdu mizerná i při nastavení na největší možnou.
