Byla vydána Mageia 5.1. Jedná se o první opravné vydání verze 5, jež vyšla v červnu loňského roku (zprávička). Uživatelům verze 5 nepřináší opravné vydání nic nového, samozřejmě pokud pravidelně aktualizují. Vydání obsahuje všechny aktualizace za posledního téměř půldruhého roku. Mageia 5.1 obsahuje LibreOffice 4.4.7, Linux 4.4.32, KDE4 4.14.5 nebo GNOME 3.14.3.

Joinup informuje, že Mnichov používá open source groupware Kolab. V srpnu byl dokončen dvouletý přechod na toto řešení. V provozu je asi 60 000 poštovních schránek. Nejenom Kolabu se věnoval Georg Greve ve své přednášce Open Source: the future for the European institutions (SlideShare) na konferenci DIGITEC 2016, jež proběhla v úterý 29. listopadu v Bruselu. Videozáznam přednášek z hlavního sálu je ke zhlédnutí na Livestreamu.

Společnost Jolla oznámila v příspěvku Case study: Sailfish Watch na svém blogu, že naportovala Sailfish OS na chytré hodinky. Využila a inspirovala se otevřeným operačním systémem pro chytré hodinky AsteroidOS. Použita je knihovna libhybris. Ukázka ovládání hodinek na YouTube.

Byla vydána verze 7.1.0 skriptovacího jazyka PHP používaného zejména k vývoji dynamických webových stránek. Jedná se o první stabilní verzi nejnovější větvě 7.1. Přehled novinek v dokumentaci. Podrobnosti v ChangeLogu. K dispozici je také příručka pro přechod z PHP 7.0.x na PHP 7.1.x.

Google Chrome 55 byl prohlášen za stabilní. Nejnovější stabilní verze 55.0.2883.75 tohoto webového prohlížeče přináší řadu oprav a vylepšení (YouTube). Opraveno bylo také 36 bezpečnostních chyb. Mariusz Mlynski si například vydělal 22 500 dolarů za 3 nahlášené chyby (Universal XSS in Blink).

Byla vydána verze 3.2 svobodného systému pro detekci a prevenci průniků a monitorování bezpečnosti počítačových sítí Suricata. Z novinek lze zmínit například podporu protokolů DNP3 a CIP/ENIP, vylepšenou podporu TLS a samozřejmě také aktualizovanou dokumentaci.

Byla vydána beta verze Linux Mintu 18.1 s kódovým jménem Serena. Na blogu Linux Mintu jsou hned dvě oznámení. První o vydání Linux Mintu s prostředím MATE a druhé o vydání Linux Mintu s prostředím Cinnamon. Stejným způsobem jsou rozděleny také poznámky k vydání (MATE, Cinnamon) a přehled novinek s náhledy (MATE, Cinnamon). Linux Mint 18.1 bude podporován až do roku 2021.

Byl vydán Devuan Jessie 1.0 Beta 2. Jedná se o druhou beta verzi forku Debianu bez systemd představeného v listopadu 2014 (zprávička). První beta verze byla vydána v dubnu letošního roku (zprávička). Jedna z posledních přednášek věnovaných Devuanu proběhla v listopadu na konferenci FSCONS 2016 (YouTube, pdf).

Dobry den,

rozhodl jsem se pouzit svuj domaci server jako router. Pridal jsem tedy do PCI slotu druhou sitovou kartu (05:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+ (rev 10)) a nastavil routovani v IPTABLES. Vse funguje bez problemu az na rychlost. S uploadem není problem (80Mb), download je vsak velmi pomaly (2Mb).

Zacal jsem tedy hledat kde je problem. Prvni podezrelou vec jsem nasel ve vypisu ifconfig PCI sitove karty (slouzi jako WAN).

Bohuzel teto oblasti vubec nerozumim. Pouzita sitova karta je vemi stara a nejspis nikdy nepatrila mezi prilis kvalitni. Otazka zni jak je mozne tuto situaci resit. Pomohla by koupe jine karty? Je mozne presvedcit ovladac pouzit jinou adresu?

Zkoušel jsi ji dát do jiného slotu? BIOS ji může přidělit jiné zdroje.

Co je to za stroj, že by to nestíhal? Dá se samozřejmě koupil kvalitní plně hardwarová karta, ale za ty peníze si můžeš rovnou koupit domácí router.

Je to D945GSEJT Johnstown (Atom). Takze ma bohuzel jen jeden slot. Co se tyce vykonu tak to samozrejme zadna slava to neni ale kdyz to zvlada upload tak by snad nemel byt problem ani s opacnym smerem, navic vytizeni systemu je bezpecne pod 0.1. Uvazoval jsem o koupi nejaky desktopovy intel karty, ale nejsu si jistej jestli to pomuze.

Noo, patrně by to pomohlo, ale problém asi nebude v nekvalitě čipu RTL-8139. Ten se pro 100M používá dost běžně. Možná by mohl být problém s verzí čipu a verzí ovladače, myslím, že pro novější verze by mělo jádro použít modul 8139cp místo 8139too. Něco o tom určitě bude napsané v dmesg.

Atom by na to měl mí výkonu dost, myslel jsem, jestli tam nemáš třeba něco starého. A to si nemůžeš někde na chvíli půjčit jinou kartu (klidně jinou obyčejnou) a zkusit to?

Kolik ta karta posílá interruptů? Nebyl by výpis /proc/interrupts? Co se děje s příslušnou řádkou /proc/interrupts, když si třeba pingáte o default gateway? Pokud se tomu skutečně neroutuje interrupt, tak by to mohlo být (kromě hardwarové závady) třeba bincem v ACPI nebo kýho čerta. Tj. např. bugem v BIOSu, nebo nekompatibilitou "BIOS versus jádro".

Napadá mě pár argumentů na příkazovou řádku kernelu (= do bootloaderu), které cvičí se způsobem detekce správné konfigurace interruptů: acpi=off, pci=noacpi, pci=routeirq, irqpoll.

Co to máte za kernel? Nic proti Debianu... ale to vypadá jako "kulatá" 2.6.32 (pravda s nějakým Debianím patchlevelem) - nezkusil byste nějakou méně kulatou verzi, klidně vanilkovou? (= nejlíp nějakou, která má na "čtvrtém místě" hodně vysoké číslo.)

Deska od Intelu... hm... no v jejich BIOSech už jsem taky viděl všelijaké bugy, nezkoušel jste update BIOSu?

Jo a pokud jde o možnost, že sama karta nedává interrupt (= HW závada), to vyzkoušíte nejsnáz tak, že zkusíte jinou kartu :-) Konkrétně u značky Intel se Vám dále může stát to, že se použije interrupt typu "MSI" (message-signaled), takže ten případný špatně naroutovaný diskrétní drát v motherboardu se stane irelevantním... Nejsem si jist, jestli i Intelky pro klasickou "paralelní" PCI umí MSI (expressové Intelky určitě ano).

Kolize prostředků, konkrétně IOMEM okna? To je divné... A ukazuje to nejspíš na bug v BIOSu (nebo v kernelu). Jinak bych řekl, že IOMEM okno PCI bridge by klidně mohlo být zcela legálně "nadmnožinou" IOMEM okének, přidělených periferiím schovaným za tímto bridgem (pak by ale kernel neměl nadávat, že jde o konflikt/kolizi). Případně: tušímže drivery od Realteku podporují možnost "use PIO instead of MMIO" - je to compile-time opšna, ale dá se to přepnout i argumentem insmodu (use_io=1) nebo v bootloaderu (8139too.use_io=1) pokud je driver zakompilován monoliticky (což v distribučním kernelu spíš nebude).
