    Fossil (Wikipedie) byl vydán ve verzi 2.24. Jedná se o distribuovaný systém správy verzí propojený se správou chyb, wiki stránek a blogů s integrovaným webovým rozhraním. Vše běží z jednoho jediného spustitelného souboru a uloženo je v SQLite databázi.

Vypíchnout lze Spořič paměti (Memory Saver) automaticky hibernující karty, které nebyly nějakou dobu používány nebo vylepšené Odběry (Feed Reader).

    OpenJS Foundation, oficiální projekt konsorcia Linux Foundation, oznámila vydání verze 22 otevřeného multiplatformního prostředí pro vývoj a běh síťových aplikací napsaných v JavaScriptu Node.js (Wikipedie). V říjnu se verze 22 stane novou aktivní LTS verzí. Podpora je plánována do dubna 2027.

    Oznámeny byly nové Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4S. Vedle původní 1 GB varianty jsou nově k dispozici také varianty s 2 GB, 4 GB a 8 GB paměti. Compute Modules 4S mají na rozdíl od Compute Module 4 tvar a velikost Compute Module 3+ a předchozích. Lze tak provést snadný upgrade.

    Dobry den, pred casem jsem se chtel seznamit s nejakym zalohovacim sw pod linuxem. Dle informaci ktere jsem k tomuto tematu precetl jsem si vybral zalohovaci sw bacula. Pry je jeden z nejlepsich. Dal me na nem potesilo to ze se timto zpusobem daji zalohovat i stanice s OS Win. I kdyz by me zajimalo jestli existuje neco free co umi i MAC toto je zatim dostacujici. Nainstaloval jsem si to na testovaci server. Podarilo se mi rozchodit zalohovani na tomto testovacim serveru. Vse funguje nadherne ale pak jsem si chtel vyzkouset jak zalohovat klienty. V prvni chvili jsem si nainstaloval na dalsi testovaci server (oba jsou ubuntu 10.10 svr) bacula-client ale nepodarilo se mi to rozchodit. Pak jsem zkusil bacula-client nainstalovat i na win xp ale ani to se nezdarilo. Precetl jsem kde co ale asi jsem se v tom uz zamotal a ted uz nevim jak dal. Prosim o radu, postrceni spravnym smerem atd. Neustale mi to vypisuje:

    Na windows clientovi mate nastavene zle meno bacula directora. Podla konfigov to ma byt bcksvr-dir a nie macbook_winxp-dir. Dalej ak pouzivate raz heslo v uvodzovkach, tak ho tak zadavajte vsade.. nie raz v uvodzovkach (bacula-dir.conf) a raz bez (bacula-fd.conf). Taktiez zakomentujte v klientovi sekcie restricted direktorov, pokial nechcete k nim zabezpecovat pristup.

    Co sa tyka druheho bacula ubuntu klienta (dalsi pocitac v sieti ktory spominate), tak tam vam pre neho viditelne chyba "Client" sekcia v bacula-dir.conf... logicky teda nemoze fungovat komunikacia. V bacula-dir.conf mate definovanych dvoch klientov... windows klienta a linux klienta, ktory bezi na tom istom stroji ako director. Ziadneho dalsieho klienta tam nevidim. - to je taktiez troska zmatocne... snazte sa rovnake sekcie (client, pool, fileset,...) drzat spolocne a nie rozhadzane v konfigu, potom v tom nepochybne stratite prehlad aj nabuduce.
