    Oznámeny byly nové Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4S. Vedle původní 1 GB varianty jsou nově k dispozici také varianty s 2 GB, 4 GB a 8 GB paměti. Compute Modules 4S mají na rozdíl od Compute Module 4 tvar a velikost Compute Module 3+ a předchozích. Lze tak provést snadný upgrade.

    Byla vydána nová verze 30.0.0 frameworku pro vývoj multiplatformních desktopových aplikací pomocí JavaScriptu, HTML a CSS Electron (Wikipedie, GitHub). Chromium bylo aktualizováno na verzi 124.0.6367.49, V8 na verzi 12.4 a Node.js na verzi 20.11.1. Electron byl původně vyvíjen pro editor Atom pod názvem Atom Shell. Dnes je na Electronu postavena celá řada dalších aplikací.

    Nefunkční modul nvidia v debianu

    Ahoj, mám debian sid s AMD64 a nějakou dobu jsem na modulu nvidia fungoval. Pak jsem překompiloval jádro a po nějaké době jsem zkusil skompilovat i nvidiu. Modul se skompiluje, dokonce se mi podařilo i vložit modprobem bez erroru, bohužel X.ka ho neznají. Jedinné jiné warningy se vztahují k APM. Zkoušel jsem to už make-kpkg, module-assistantem i z originál binárního driveru od nvidie (na vlastním i oficiálním jádru debianu). Problém tedy bude asi někde v nastavení, ale nenapadá mě kde.

    Nemáte někdo s tímto zkušenosti? Dík

    Fakt mě nenapadá důvod proč to nefunguje (jak koukám do logu asi je to špatně skompilované nebo nastavené ale zkoušel jsem co jsem objevil), snad jen jestli to nemůže mít souvislost s tímto, což ale vypadá jako problém kernelu alespoň podle diskuse na gentoo fóru.

    Zajímavé je, že ještě před nějakou dobou fungovalo načítání modulu dobře (to bylo asi z balíčku). Tak jako tak ani jeden z těchto modulů nejel pod X, i když byly zavedeny od začátku.

    Zkontrolujte, zda souhlasí verze nvidia modulu jádra s GLX ovladačem pro X. To lze poznat z logu X serveru (/var/log/XFree86.0.log pro display :0). Jedná se o balíčky nvidia-glx a nvidia-kernel-source,nvidia-kernel-common.

    nvidia-kernel-source obsahuje soubor /usr/src/nvidia-kernel-source.tar.gz. Ten je nutné ručně rozbalit (vytvoří adresář /usr/src/modules/nvidia-kernel). Pokud jste upgradoval uvedené balíčky, struktura /usr/src/modules/nvidia-kernel pravděpodobně obsahuje kód ke staršímu modulu:
    cd /usr/src
    rm -rf modules/nvidia-kernel
    tar xzf nvidia-kernel-source.tar.gz
    
    a znovu zkompilovat modul pomoci make-kpkg modules_image.

    Povedlo se mi zavést a zrpovoznit X, bohuzel jen s vypnutým glx v XF86Config-4. Fakt jsem to provádel podle debianího návodu s úpravou pro amd64 podle Debian GNU/Linux AMD64 HOWTO pouze s gcc-3.3, protoze na 3.4 si stezoval pri vlození modulu. Prikládám log a XF86Config-4

    Ověřil jsem ty verze, zdá se, že nvidia-kernel-common má 1.0.7174-1, zatímco nvidia-glx, nvidia-glx-dev a nvidia-kernel-source mají 1.0.7174-3. Na mirroru amd64 jsem ale nenašel stejnou verzi. Vadí ta odlišnost za pomlčkou?

    Nevadí. Ve verzích problém není - nvidia driver vám Xka natáhnout v pořádku. Je mi líto, nevím co s tím. Ještě zkuste spustit X s parametrem -logverbose [n], (n>3), třeba se v logu objeví něco zajímavého.

    Tohle je podle mne jen pro definovani kdo ma pravo manipulovat s DRI modulem a tim ovladat grafiku ve stylu "chmod" a 666 znameno vpodstate kdokoliv (rw-rw-rw-)

    Ale k GLX mel jsem podobne problemy a byly zpusobeny chybnou odinstalaci balicku "kernel-nvidia-x.y.z" (nebo tak neco) ktery tam nechal v /etc/init.d/ nejaky zavadec a tusim ze se jmenoval "nvidia". Netusim co to delalto (predpokladam ze neco v /dev/) ale po odstraneni mi jiz GLX funguje.

    Díky moc za platnou radu, teď už se glx zavede, bohužel X ještě nejedou. Co jsem udělal bylo, že jsem odinstaloval všechny balíčky s nvidiou, zrušil link /etc/init.d/nvidia-glx a znovu nainstaloval. Zavádění trvá déle, bílá obrazovka blikne trochu déle, pak trochu zezelená a padne. Zkusím expermantovat s nastavením. Ale jakékoli náměty beru.

    Rozbalit Rozbalit vše Re: Nefunkční modul nvidia v debianu
    Mohl byste někdo poslat nebo vyvěsit svůj log XFree.0.log nebo se podívat, protože mám dojem, že za tou inicializací GLX by mělo ještě něco být. Sice to nemusí pomoct, ale možná jo.
