Snad nejdůležitější částí JES je Directory Server (DS). Ve verzi JES 5 je obsažena verze Directory Server Enterprise Edition 6.0 . DS bude JESu sloužit jako úložiště uživatelů stejně jako i úložiště dat a configurací (alespoň části) aplikací.
V minulém dílu isme si rozbalili instalaci JES do adresáře /root/install . Instalátor je v adresáři Linux_x86 Nebudu se snažit suplovat dokumentaci, vyberu jen užitečné volby intalátoru.

-state [statefile] Uses the state file as input for silent
installation. Use with -noconsole.
-reporter Download and execute Java Enterprise System reporter application.
-noreporter Do not download and execute Java Enterprise System reporter application
at the end of installation.
Pro nás jsou zajímavé volby -nodisplay (grafický klient jen zdržuje ...) a -saveState [file] která uloží z klávesnice naklepanou konfiguraci. Po malých změnách pomocí text. editoru ( a ani ty nejsou nutné pokud si nastavíte stejné hostname a IP adresu) jí může kdokoliv použít k replikaci instalace za pomocí voleb -noconsole a -state [file].
Před instalací DS si musíte dobře rozmyslet nejméně jednu věc. LDAP BaseDN. To vás bude provázet po celou dobu "života" DS (pokud vím nedá se jednoduše změnit a i kdyby, musíte opravit všechny výskyty v konfiguracích jak v DS tak v cfg souborech - přirovnal bych to k takové malé soukromé noční můře ) takže se vyplatí o něm popřemýšlet.
příklad dn: uid=qaxi,ou=People,o=it,dc=example,dc=org (u mne byla volba jednoduchá, prostě jsem se držel RFC-2606 ...). Mějte ma mysli, že se firma může přejmenovat, může jí jiná firma koupit ...
Možná je lepší mít BaseDN neutrální např. dc=domena. Tohle ale neplatí pokud plánujte propojit LDAP server se servery venku (opravdu to chcete udělat?), tam je to naprosto naopak.
- několika tečkami vedle sebe ... budu přeskakovat dlouhé texty
- tučně jsou vyznačeny ručně zadané volby.

Nejdřív zjistíme jestli DS vůbec nastartuje. Program /opt/sun/ds6/bin/dsadm nám s tím pomůže.

Oba výpisy nás potěšili, server jak běží tak naslouchá na portech pro LDAP a LDAPS. Zkontrolujeme si jestli jen poslouchá a nebo jestli i odpovídá. (na výběr máme dva ladp klienty OpenLDAP a SUN, vyzkoušíme oba)

Server běží a podává data, to je dobrá zpráva, ale do plné funkčnosti stále ještě pár věcí schází. Ty si necháme na další pokračování.
Jako bonus přidám soubor "ds.state" (nepřišel jsem jak na blog nahrát jiný soubor než obrázek, tak si obsah budete muset vykopírovat). S instalátorem ho použijete takto cd /root/install/Linux_x86 && ./installer -noconsole -state /root/install/DS.state
