Okolnosti me prinutili pouzit tento kus hardware a tady je postup, ktery jsem protrpel. Mozna existuji i jina reseni, ale dalsi jsem nezkousel, ani nehledal. Potreboval jsem jej rozchodit v Fedora Core 2 (distribucni jadro 2.6.8-1.521) a tak i ji se tyka postup.

S CD (Rev. A01, February 20004) dodanem vyrobcem nikdo v GNU Linuxu slavit uspechy nebude. Presto se bude jeste hodit. Ani na strankach DELLu tomuto OS nejsou zrovna moc nakloneni. Prvni na co jsem v Googlu narazil, je pouzitelne, ale s omezenim trial license na 30 dni. Permanent license stoji 19.95 USD.

V menu 'DriverLoader' sekce 'Download' jsou ke stazeni binarni ovladace a zdrojove kody. Ted je celkem dobry napad se zaregistrovat a nechat si zaslat free trial license key. K tomu budete potrebovat MAC adresu a e-mail. Je nutne vyplnit jeden z otravnych formularu Sign up for an account.

Po instalaci driverloaderu je nutne na localhost http://127.0.0.1:18020/ nahrat ovladace Windows (XP/2000) do systemu ('Upload Windows Driver'), prave ty jsou k nalezeni na CD (soubory dellnic.inf a prisma02.sys; /var/lib/driverloader), a provest registraci ('settings' > License E-Mail a License Key).

Pridame NIC. A nic. V teto fazi jsem se divil proc mi to nefunguje. A proc? Protoze

Nakonec uz zbyva jen nakonfigurovat sit (wireless-tools).
