Postup zprovoznění pod Linuxem

    Hardwarova cast :-D
  1. Karta je PnP, presto je na ni jumper JP1 a JP2: OUTPUT-SPEAKER/LINE. Doporucuji nastavit ho spravne, nebot pri volbe SPEAKER a aktivnich beden zvukovka muze sumet (plati pro vsechny zvukovky s vystupnimi zesilovaci).
  2. Jumpery JP3 a JP4 mohou byt pripajeny natvrdo na volbu 3D OFF. Nenamahejte se s jejich prepajovanim, protoze na karte tim padem nebude ani prislusny svab (plus hafo dalsich veci kolem), starajici se o 3D.
    Softwarova cast
  1. Karta je PnP - BIOS nebo kernel kartu na nejaka IRQ nastavi. Tato IRQ ale nejsou sdilena s PCI! To je dobre si uvedomit, rovnez durazne nedoporucuji rezervovat pro kartu vlastni IRQ volbou Legacy ISA v BIOSu. Tim dosahneme akorat toho, ze tyto IRQ zustanou neobsazena a zbytek systemu se bude chovat velmi zajimave.
  2. Je dobre v novejsich BIOSech vypnout volbu
      PnP OS: No
    
    Muzeme se tim padem dozvedet z tabluky BIOSu pred bootem na cem je karta povesena a tak dale.
  3. V Linuxovem jadre bychom meli mit ovladac pro karty OPL3SA2 a v radach 2.4 tez PnP ISA (oba bud jako moduly nebo v jadre).
  4. Pokud mame oba ovladace v jadre, melo by jadro detekovat zvukovku jiz pri startu. Pokud mame modularni jadro, vyzkousime zavest rucne ovladac zvukovky:
      modprobe -v opl3sa2
    
  5. Pokud vse chodi jak ma, pridame natahovani modulu do startovacich script, popr. upravime /etc/modules.conf napr. nasledovne:

      alias sound-slot-0 opl3sa2
      options opl3sa2 io=0x370 mss_io=0x530 mpu_io=0x330 irq=5 dma=1 dma2=3

  6. Pokud je neco blbe, popr. k dalsimu studiu doporucuji si precist dokumentaci v jadre: Documentation/sound/OPL3-SA2.
  7. Pokud nemame PnP ISA modul, muzeme pouzit nastroje isapnp. Potom kartu inicializujeme v startovacich scriptech.
  8. Pokud chceme pouzivat IDE, staci ho nastavit na karte nastrojem isapnp a jadru pri startu pomoci parametru napr.:
      ide3=0x168,0x36e,10
    
    rici, ze ma k dispozci dalsi IDE (spolehlive uchozeno i na 386 s 4xdisk 1xCD ;-)

Poznámka

Testovano v jadre 2.4.7. S jadrem 2.0 karta chodi budto jako emulace SB Pro/WSS nebo jako cs4232.
