Zde je popisována první generace čtečky B&N Nook.

Jde o čtečku elektronických knih s modifikovaným Androidem.

Po připojení přes microUSB k PC se nook nejen nabíjí, ale navíc 1,3GiB část interní paměti (resp. microSD karty) se hlásí jako mass storage zařízení. V adresáři my documents/ jsou knihy (nekoupené u B&N) atp.

Po získání superuživatelských práv jde se čtečkou komunikovat přes WiFi -- pomocí adb lze např. instalovat aplikace. Viz web nookDevs.com.
