Výrobce dodává otevřenou obsluhu rozhraní pro pcsc-lite. Novější verze pcsc-lite potřebují pozměnit kód obsluhy rozhraní. Po instalace obojího a spuštění démona v ladicím režimu pcscd -a -f -d a zasunutí zařízení do sběrnice se zobrazí výpis komunikace

A dioda pod krytem zařízení se rozsvítí. Pokud se spojení na programové úrovni nenaváže, dioda zůstane zhasnutá.

Dále je možné nainstalovat opensc nebo libp11, přes které může uživatel nebo aplikace s kryptografickým modulem zacházet.
