pouzivam kernel 2.6.11-gentoo-r11

Testovano s MDK 9.2, kernel 2.4.21-0.32mdk. Testovane jen v rezimu USB1.1.

Stejny chip mam jednak v univerzalnim adapteru pro pripojeni IDE zarizeni (harddisk 3.5", CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, atd), pak i v externim ramecku pro 2.5" disk. Externi ramecek ma kablik se dvemi USB konektory (vidlicka), zrejme proto, ze jeden USB port muze dodat jen proud 500mA, takze pokud by disk potreboval vice, lze ze dvou portu dodat az 1A; data jsou jen na jednom USB konektoru, druhy se vyuziva jen pro napajeni.

Mam box Mobile Disk, ktery pouziva chip GL811 se 160GB Matrox hdd - jsou s nim problemy, staci pouzit google - nekomu funguje, nekomu ne.
V mem pripade to pri vetsi aktivite (velke soubory) skonci nevratnym poskozenim filesystemu.
Nedavno se mi dostal do ruky ST-LAB box, ma novejsi chip GL811E - ten se zdal byt funkcni.
Tez se zda, ze velkou roli hraje typ USB kabelu - nejdele to vydrzelo s tim typem, ktery ma na obou koncich ty "magnety", ci co to vlastne je.
