Postup zprovoznění pod Linuxem

Nejprve jsem si vypsal pomocí lsusb identifikaci kamery a prohledal moduly jádra (SuSE 8.0 jádro 2.4.18). Našel jsem mezi nimi modul ... kernel/drivers/usb/ov511.o. Zadal jsem modprobe ov511 a funguje to. Kamera je pak přístupná přes /dev/video. Ke znímání obrázků jsem použil např. program wwwcam

Poznámka

Kvalita hrozná, použitelné opravdu maximálně při videokonferencích (záber obličeje přes celou plochu obrazu, takže je rozeznatelný).
