Postup zprovoznění pod Linuxem

Instalován je 64-bit Arch linux s bezproblémovou detekcí veškerého HW.

Jediný problém, který jsem zaznamenal, je regulace otáček ventilátoru ve skříni. Čtení otáček pomocí lm_sensors je evidentně funkční, ale pwmconfig říká There are no pwm-capable sensor modules installed.

Poznámka

Stroj hodlám požívat jako router a file/web/ntp/dns/dhcp/... server, proto nejsou připojeny žádné periferie, jen síťové kabely a USB flash disk se systémem. Později ještě přibudou dva 3,5" disky.

Vše je uloženo ve skříni INWIN BM639 s 80mm ventilátorem, který zatím nejsem schopný programově regulovat. Proto je trochu slyšet průtok vzduchu, ale díky tomu se teploty drží příjemně nízko (v místnosti je 23°C).

Celá sestava si v klidu řekne o 15-20W, během hodinové kompilace a komprese měřák ukázal max. 22W a teploty z coretemp nešly přes 33°C. Zajímavé však je, že vypnutá sestava trvale žere 18W, dalo by se říct, že výhodnější je stroj nevypínat :-)

Pokud by přece jen někdo chtěl opravdu pasivně chlazený stroj (nepočítám naprosto neslyšitelný 40mm ventilátor zdroje, který nelze vypnout) měl by se připravit na zhruba 56-60°C v klidu a až 75°C v zátěži. To už si myslím jsou hodnoty dost vysoké na server, který má běžet 24 hodin denně pokud možno navždy.
