Dotaz: rozlišení 1920x1200 na Geforce FX5200 128MB

rozlišení 1920x1200 na Geforce FX5200 128MB

Pořídil jsem si 24" monitor, ale bohužel se mi nedaří nastavit jeho nativní rozlišení. Zkoušel jsem to přes nvidia-settings (používám prop. ovladače), ale vyšší než 1600x1200 tam nelze nastavit. Přitom než jsem monitor připojil, tak v těch volbách rozlišení 1920x1200 bylo. Zkoušel jsem i ruční nastavení (úpravou xorg.conf), ale bez úspěchu. Je možné, že grafika toto rozlišení neumožňuje? Dle informací které jsem našel by měla, ale je možné, že pouze 256MB verze? Předem děkuji za nějakou radu či informaci.

Ještě pro upřesnění, monitor je připojen přes DVI a běží to na Ubuntu 8.04.

Pokud cches pouzivat toto rozliseni, over si zda mas Dual Link DVI kabel. Pokud mas jen Single Link, tak toto rozliseni nenastavis.

No a navíc je ještě tvoje odpověď nesmysl. 1920x1200/60Hz je 395,5 MB/s, což pořád ještě přenese single-link DVI.

zkousel jsi to? ja jo. mam HP w2408h a kdyz jsem mel single link (DVI-HDMI) tak to neslo, az kdyz jsem to vymenil za Dual link tak to jde. stejne tak to pisu v manualu u me televize (FullHD) ze pokud chci prenaset z ext. zdroje signal 1080p tak potrebuju Dual link kabel

Samozřejmě. HP LP2475w, single link DVI, 1920x1200/60Hz.

Nejsem odbornik, ale podle mne ti uplne chybi nastaveni rozliseni v xorg.conf. V Section "Screen" mam jeste SubSection, viz nize. To umoznuje za behu X serveru prepinat rozliseni. Pokud chces jenom jedno, tak mu zkus natvrdo nastavit 1920x1200 a ostatni tam nedavej. V nejhorsim ti nenabehnou X-ka a ve vypisu Xorg.log se dozvis proc.

taky dík za info, ale ruční nastavení jsem zkoušel, otázka zda jsem to provedl dobře, no ještě to zkusím. Jinak jsem taky zkoušel kartu od ATI (Radeon 9200), a s ní chodilo v nativním rozlišení, obraz byl dle mého názoru ostrý bez rozostření. Právě se rozhoduji zda nakonec nepoužít tu ATInu, ale u ní byl zase problém s přehráváním filmů na celou obrazovku (jedno zda z DVD, Dvix nebo něco jiného), obraz se trochu škubal, a přehrávání Flashe bylo ukrutně pomalý. běželo to na komunitních ovladačích. Originál ovladače jsem nezprovoznil, protože nemám podporovanou verzi X serveru (tedy aspoň jsem to tak pochopil).

Ještě poznámka, monitor má možnost nastavit jak bude dané rozlišení zobrazovat, zda interpolovat, roztahovat, nebo 1:1. používám to 1:1 protože fakt nemám rád roztažený xichty :-)

xorg.conf by jsi mel mit asi nejak takhle. Zkontroluj si ty cesty na zacatku, ruzny distra to muzou mit jinak a klidne to pouzij cele tak jak je, melo by to najet.

Ha, řešil jsem to stejné celý víkend a podařilo se mi včera. Za 1) nvidia si myslí, že přes DVI umí max 1600*1200, když monitor zapojíte přes analogové připojení, určitě to půjde. Za 2) pomohl mi tenhle odkaz: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=401556

Důležité je ta opšna Option "ModeValidation" "NoMaxPClkCheck" a asi i ta Modeline (ale tady je pro 60Hz, pokud váš monitor umí více, tak je potřeba jí asi nějak přepočítat, ale je klidně možné, že to bude chodit i bez ní.

Dá se potom rozjet i twinview (do vga konektoru jsem nechal připojený starý monitor, nyní jako sekundární), a to pomocí nvidia-settings

Akorát mi zase nějak nefunguje fullscreen v mplayeru, vlastně nejde zvětšovat žádný video, dycky se mi to přehrává jen v originální velikosti. Ale to je zase jiný téma.

super funguje to, video jede docela slušně, ačkoliv jsem zaznamenal občasné škubnutí, ale nechá se to.Používám VLC nebo Totem.Bohužel mi nejede HD, které předtím "jakš takž" jelo, ale to bude na další ladění (nebu upgrade HW :-)). Teď je hlavní,že funguje dané rozlišení pro běžnou práci. Ještě jednou díky.

tak když jsem vyhodil ze svého xorg.conf to ModeLine, tak už se mi video zvětšuje na full screen, bohužel, jak se ukazuje, je to na nic, neb ta karta nějak nestíhá :-(

Musím konstatovat, že podle tohoto navodu s doplnenim opsny ModeValidation ... se mi podarila rozjet stara NVIDIA 5500FX 128MB 64bit v plnem rozliseni na DVI vystupu 1920x1200 na mem 24' LCD, distro MANDRIVA 2010, jede bez sebemensich problemu i s COMPIS-FUSION a videem spustenych v nem napr. ve VLC, zvetsovani videa OK,atd. Nezaznamenal se zadne problemy. Diky za stary, ale squele funkcni navod i po roku.

Tak ještě doplňující dotaz k danému tématu. Rozlišení monitoru funguje, a lze ho pomocí nvidia-settings nastavit, ale bohužel systém si toto nastavení nepamatuje a při dalším přihlášení ho musím znova nastavovat.
