Zdravím,

potrebujem na jednom prenajatom servri monitorovať hardware. Skúšam to s ipmitool, ale nejak sa mi nedarí :(
# ipmitool sdr
Could not open device at /dev/ipmi0 or /dev/ipmi/0 or /dev/ipmidev/0: No such file or directory
Get Device ID command failed
Unable to open SDR for reading
skúšal som aj
modprobe ipmi_devintf
modprobe ipmi_msghandler
modprobe ipmi_poweroff
modprobe ipmi_si
modprobe ipmi_watchdog
podľa tehto návodu ale stále nič.

Vedel by mi prosím niekto s týmto poradiť? Ďakujem

Nevim jake distro tam mas, ale normalne to delam tak, ze nainstaluji OpenIPMI a pak /etc/init.d/ipmi start

No, ja mam Centos, ale ted koukam, ze ten ipmi script jenom natahuje moduly.

Mam tam tyhle

Nemas nahodou hp microserver? Ted jsem to resil. Pomuzou parametry modulu ipmi_si type=kcs ports=0xca2. Autodetekce nefunguje. Google ti najde, jak poznas cislo portu, ja nemusel, jen jsem to opsal.

No, ati neznam, ale nezda se mi ze to ma ipmi, zkus jeste vystup z dmidecode.

ATI RS690 je desktopovy chipset. Vypada to na uplne obycejnou masinu.

Tak to som nemilo prekvapený, náš server už beží 2 roky po záruke a obávam sa, že ak vypadne, budú vysoké náklady na jeho opravu, tak som prenajal tento, už používaný server. Servis je zdarma v rukách providera, ale dohliadať hardware musím ja. Ale to, že je desctopová mašina, to sa čudujem.

Vem to z te druhe stranky - HW je natolik bezny, ze pri vypadku nebude problem jej rychle nahradit necim jinym s minimalnimi naklady.

a existuje ešte nejaká iná možnosť, ako kontrolovať hardware? disky viem skonrolovať s tw_cli, teplotu procesorov so sensor,

ale to je tak všetko, ventilárory neviem vôbec skontrolovať.

Na inom dell servri používam ipmitool a omreport, ale tu si neviem dať rady s týmto.

Nandi, jakej chip pouziva deska, treba sensors-detect. Pak zavedes modul, treba it87 a mohlo by to ukazovat vetraky.
