Devuan 4.0 Chimaera

Devuan (Wikipedie), fork Debianu bez systemd, byl vydán ve verzi 4.0. Jeho kódové jméno je Chimaera podle planetky 623. Přehled novinek v poznámkách k vydání. Devuan 4.0 je založen je na Debianu 11.1 Bullseye.

Mozno by si mal najskor skusit precitat si cele release notes, nielen nadpisy:

  Blank Display on Ryzen and other recent AMD CPUs

   If you have a Ryzen or other new AMD CPUs and find that the system
   boots to black screen, installation of the firmware-amd-graphics
   package from the non-free repository is required to fix the issue.

  Xfce missing application menu icons

   If, after upgrading from Devuan 3 Beowulf, Xfce application menu icons
   are missing, run the command

     xfconf-query -c xsettings -p /Gtk/MenuImages -t bool -s true
     --create

   which will recreate the required default configuration.

Servery nepotrebuji zvuk vubec, NUCy casto taky ne. Nekomu staci ALSA a PA mu jen rozbiji konfiguraci...

na gentoo PA nemam, kde ma byt problem?

Vyborne, uz bylo nacase. Chimaera se mi za cely vyvojovy cyklus rozbila na produkcnim stroji jen jednou, takze az bude cas tak prejdu na dalsi testing (Daedalus):

Já jedu stable a ten se nerozbil ani jednou. Upgrade, také bez problému.
