Daruji brick - NanoBeam 5AC Gen 2 WA, neúspěch s OpenWRT

Ahoj, koupil jsem Ubnt NanoBeam 5AC Gen 2 WA.

Nechal jsem se zmást jejich marketingem, zjistil jsem, že se mi to nepřipojí na žádné AP (Mikrotik, Turris, ani starší Ubnt).

Potřebuju vyměnit napřed jednu anténu, pak druhou. Proto jsem se rozhodl na stole zkusit nahodit Openwrt, které by mělo v 802.11ac jet a po výměně druhé strany přeflashnout zpátky na oficiální ubnt firmware.

Postupoval jsem takto: Založeno na - https://openwrt.org/toh/ubiquiti/common#openwrt_installation_on_wa_and_xc_boards -

1) flashnout WA.v8.7.0.42152 přes web rozhraní https://dl.ubnt.com/firmwares/XC-fw/v8.7.0/WA.v8.7.0.42152.200203.1256.bin

v konfiguraci povolit ssh přístup.

2) stáhnout openwrt https://mirror.kumi.systems/openwrt/releases/19.07.4/targets/ath79/generic/openwrt-19.07.4-ath79-generic-ubnt_nanobeam-ac-squashfs-factory.bin

3) scp openwrt-19.07.4-ath79-generic-ubnt_nanobeam-ac-squashfs-factory.bin admin@192.168.1.20:/tmp

4) ssh admin@192.168.1.20

Na konci procesu mám brick. Bohužel nepodařilo se mi udělat ani tftp recovery. Sice bliká, jak asi má, ale nepingá a fw nepřijme.

Sériové konzole bych se nebál, ale tento kus hw se nedá rozebrat, leda rozřezat. Poněvadž to potřebuju mít venku, ztráta vodotěsnosi zamrzí.

Jestli to někdo chce, tak daruji, mohu i poslat.

Také mě zajímá, jestli s tím někdo má nějaké jiné/lepší zkušenosti.

Ja kdysi bricknul TP-LINK a tftp recovery fungoval korektne jen s windows tftp, takze pokud muzes, zkus ten navod pro windows a Pumpkin TFTP

3. Unplug the ethernet cable from the UniFi AP.

4. Using a paperclip press and hold the UniFi AP's reset button. Make sure you can feel it being depressed by the paperclip. Do not release the button until step 6.

5. While keeping the reset button pressed in, plug the ethernet cable back into the AP. Keep the reset button depressed until you see the device's LED flashing in upgrade mode (read about LED patterns in this article). This may take up to 25 seconds.

User Tip: The UAP will not respond to ping requests while in TFTP recovery mode, but will respond to ARP requests.

6. You may release the reset button. Now the device is in TFTP transfer mode.
