Beryl funguje, ale system se stava nefunkcni :(

Dobry den, Podarilo se me zprovoznit beryl do castecne funkcnosti, Mam nvidii mx 440 Vim ze grafarna nic moc ale tak neco malinko by zvladnout mohla. Kdyz jsem spustil beryl tak jsem zprvu nevidel zadne okraje oken, to jsem potom zmenil v nastaveni berylu a zatrhl jsem si v efektech window-decoration. Jenze to muj problem neresilo, protoze jakmile mam spustenej beryl, system nereaguje na spusteni jakekoliv aplikace, nemuzu ani zpet vyvolat menu berylu protoze me nedovoli vyvolat jak menu hlavniho nabidky panelu, tak nic, i spustene aplikace neodpovidaji, Mam otevrene okno konzole, můzu s nim pohybovat ale nemuzu psat, kdyz pisu tak se vysledek promitne az se pokusim zvetsit ci zmensit okno. Jakmile okno minimalizuji na listu tak je nenavratne pric a uz ho zpet nemaximalizuji.. Ale beryl funguje alespon castecne. Okna co byli otevrena se krasne vlni kdyz snimi pohybuji. Můzu otacet mezi plochami pomoci 3d krychle celkem vpohode plinule, ale to je tak vse co jde delat kdyz je beryl spusten. Pak me nezbyva nic jinaciho nez killnout beryl pres konzoli a vratit se zpet.

No ono Beryl nekomu funguje dobre, nekomu se kazi jako Tobe nebo me. Me streba nefunguji virtualni plochy - stale mam 4 (i kdyz mi to ukazuje treba 100). Poslat to mohu jen na 2 pracovni plochy a pokud odeslu cokoliv na prac. plochu 2, tak se na to uz nedostanu a musim to killnout. Beryl-settings mi ani nejde spustit. Nekdy se mi kousne grafika a klavesnice, system bezi dal, mys funguje... Nebo se mi jen tak z niceho nic restartnou X-ka.

Jsem z Berylu docela zklamany. Myslel jsem, ze je to alespon trochu funkci a pouzitelne, ale to hozhodne neni - alespon v mem pripade.

mne teda beryl na kubuntu feisty fawn funguje spolehlive, akorat pri najezdu se nekdy nezapne jako default manager beryl (nekdy jo a nekdy ne), takze pokud chci plne efekty, tak musim v nastaveni vybrat beryl ...

Ja mam Gentoo 64bit. V podstate me to nijak netrapi. Jen me stve to stve kvuli grafice.

Mě funguje skvěle, mandriva 2007.1 beryl-core-0.2.0-2mdv2007.1. Zajímavé, že stejná verze ale zabalená pro 2007 dělá problémy. Hry jako flightgear musím vypínat hezky, když vypnu konzoli z které jsem to spustil tak neví jaké dát rozlišení a je vymalováno. Hry i programy jdou pouštet ve fulscreenu a přecházet bez problémů na jiné plochy nebo konzole což dříve moc nefungovalo. Teď si jenom pořádně rozmyslím až přijde aktualizace jestli to nechám tak nebo risknu novější verzi.
Připíjím na krásu našich koní a rychlost našich žen.

Beryl jsem před týdnem nahradil za compiz-fusion, stabilita o dva řády lepší, paráda. Debian Sid AMD64, nVidia GT6600.

Spuste beryl ne primo, ale pomoci beryl-manager. Je to obalujici skript + GUI ktery si toho umi hodne otestovat, odhadnout, vyresit. To GUI sestava z tray appletu a nejakych menu. Z nich jde nastavit dost veci. Napriklad vynutit si metodu AIGLX misto native nvidia, u me to vyresilo problem s cernymi okny.

Zkuste spustit beryl-manager z konzole, obcas vypise zajimave veci.

Jako bonus tenhle manager umoznuje navrat do puvodniho window managera jednim kliknutim a automaticky navrat do puvodniho window managera, napr KWin, pokud Emerald krachne.

Co mate za verzi driveru? Koukam na vas xorg.conf a dost veci muzete vyhodit, pokud mate posledni verze driveru. Urcite nechat jen AddARGBGLXVisuals a "Composite" "Enable". Na 100% bych odstranil interpunkci z identifikatoru. Nicmene, na problem s xorg konfiguraci bych to nevidel. Spis to vypada ze se vam bije stary win manager s Emeraldem. To je jen takovy tip. Z jakeho win manazera beryl spoustite?

Zkuste stahnout pocet virtualnich ploch na 1 u KWin, nebo co to pouzivate. V Berylu se tohle nastavuje jinde a jinak.

Beryl spoustim vzdy primo pres manager. Ale z nabidky ne pres konzoli, Tak sem ho pustil pres konzoli a dávám sem co mě beryl vypsal po nakopnuti berylu jako window managera:

Nu jako default window manager pouzivam Kwin. Jo a jak říkám, jakmile spustim primo beryla jako window managera tak uz neudelam nic.. Ani si neotevru to menu toho beryl-managera abych tam mohl zmenit na defaultniho... Proste zadna aplikace, nic nejde.. jen s tema oknama muzu hejbat a preskakovat z plochy na plochu. Minimalizovany okna uz taky nevydelam z listy. Pravy tlacitko mysi vubec nejede.... jo a jeste kdyz spustim beryl tak se me obevi strasne moc vyrtualnich ploch, ted sem to schvalne prenastavil na jednu plochu v ovladacim centru kde a beryl jich otevrel 40...

Ted uz me toho vypisuje vypisuje vic kdzy spoustim beryl, Zkousel jsem i umazat nejaky veci z toho konfiguraku xorg aby tam toho nebylo moc ale pak se me to nespustilo vubec..

Rozbalit Rozbalit vše Re: Beryl funguje, ale system se stava nefunkcni :(
xfwm4 ? Vy spoustite dohromady xfwm (XFCE Window Manager) a Emerald? to asi nebude delat dobrotu. Jinak si ten zmateny vypis neumim vysvetlit.

AD xorg Hodne zalezi na karte a driveru. Ja mluvil o te nejposlednejsi beta verzi. Ale ta zase nevim jak moc chodi pro starsi karty. Mrknete na nvidia fora. Option "XAANoOffscreenPixmaps" "true" je jiste minena pro ATI karty. A "BackStoring" na beton false, pro vsechny karty.
