Naturally, there are some limitations, the main ones being:

• Files are immutable — once they're written they can't be modified.
• TernFS should not be used for tiny files — our median file size is 2MB.
• The throughput of directory creation and removal is significantly constrained compared to other operations.
• TernFS is permissionless, deferring that responsibility to other services.
