Cons: It seems as though you can't use anything but video cards simultaneously in the x16 PCI-E slots. I was using a Radeon 5830 for video in the primary slot, and when I attempted to add a PCI-E SATA/3Gb RAID card in another x16 slot, the system would not POST. Tried both cards in other systems to ensure they worked. Ended up using a PCI SATA/1.5Gb RAID card instead, and didn't really give up any speed because it was powering optical drives. Not enough hassle to subtract an egg, though.WOW. 5x PCIe slot do kterého si nemůžu prakticky nic dát! Úžasné! No nic. Přesuneme se dále. Jiný chipset, jiný výrobce - ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 (890GX), ale úplně stejná bota:
Well ..I tried hooking up a Nvidia 9800GT and my ATI 5870 and oddly it wouldn't recongize the 9800GT..even in W7 Device Manager scanning for new hardware didn't bring nothing up..so finally broke down and called ASUS and they told me that this motherboard doesn't support 2 different gpu brands..when I told them that I wasn't using it in SLI or Crossfire and just trying to use the Nvidia card as a PhsyX card they still said the mobo won't support it.Obdobné nedodělky lze nalézt prakticky u všech modelů všech výrobců.

Pros: First let me say I love this board. Very fast and it works great with all OS's I have tried save a bios issue with esxi4. I am not a gamer and only tried COH which the onboard graphics works fine at reasonable resolutions. Cons: esxi 4 only works with bios verion f3. Tech support is clueless. I requested they look into the bios issue and they keep asking what usb device I am using 4 different times. I gave them a thorough description including removing all usb devices. Other Thoughts: They need to hire someone who can either read or has a clue for tech support. They get 0 eggs for support but like I said I love this motherboard. It is a very good ESXI server with BIOS F3. I wish AMD supported IOMMU on the Phenom II so I could use USB passthrough on esxi4. Rev 1 MB with AMD 1055T 6 core, 8 gig ram, intel dual port and single server adapter and Areca 1210 Raid, ISCSI (openfiler)
GA-890GPA-UD3HPekne. Full ATX deska s integrovanou grafikou. To je v ceskych obchodek skoro k nenalezeni. Desky s integrovanou grafikou tam jsou skoro vzdy mATX (s minimem PCI/PCIe slotu).
After reading this thread and some reviews I decided to remove both the "gigabyte" blue plates from the NB cooling apparatus. I also added 4 x Scythe S-FLEX SFF21E 120mm Case Fans to the side panel of my HAF. Using Everest 5.5 for NB and Mobo monitoring (20c ambient): Case open, Gigabyte plates ON - OC testing: the NB temps approached 80C. Even at stock speeds the NB approached 70C. MOBO was consistently around 50-55C. OC or stock. With plates off, case panel on and 4 fans my NB temp dropped by 30-35c and Mobo dropped by 15-20c. Current temps are around NB 45, MOBO 35. Removing those plates and putting some air on those heatsinks makes a big difference. - for those using this board- worth the effort and very easy to do IMHO I believe the NB is rated for some pretty high temps, but that 80C and the mobo temps were making me nervous. I plan on running this rig 24/7. I'm more confident now about attempting some higher clocks this weekend.
