Notebook pravidelne zatuhava

Zdravim, na notebook s chipsetem ATi Radeon Express 200M jsem instaloval Opensuse 10.3. System mi ted pravidelne na par vterin zatuhava. Dochazi k tomu predevsim pri praci s diskem, kdyz si necham vypsat adresar, nebo mam spustenych vic aplikaci a jadro musi swapovat. Potom se par vterin vubec neda pracovat, kurzor mysi jezdi, ale to je to jedine, zbytek aplikaci nereaguje. Po 2-5 vterinach se to zase rozjede, ale protoze k tomu dochazi priblizne kazdou pul minutu (jak jsem psal vyse, zalezi spis na praci s diskem), je to neprijemne.

Behem techto nucenych pauz disk vydava zvlastni zvuky - nejde o klapani jako pri bezne praci, je to nemenny ton, pripomina to seekovani starych disku, uz par let jsem to neslysel. Vyzkousel jsem i nove jadro (2.6.24-rc5), nic se nezmenilo. V logu neni nic zvlastniho. Prikladam par vypisu.

Vcera jsem preinstaloval z Opensuse 10.2 na 10.3. Na 10.2 notebook fungoval normalne, zadne problemy s diskem nebyly. Ty se objevily opravdu az po instalaci 10.3. Ale vypis prikladam, vubec mu nerozumim.

rekl bych, ze jeste chvili a ten disk potka mou zakladovku v kremikovem nebi... zazalohoval bych si byt tebou data. toto: Raw_Read_Error_Rate, Seek_Error_Rate, Hardware_ECC_Recovered, a hlavne Reallocated_Sector_Ct nevypada vybec zrdave.

No dobre, ja se tomu nebranim. Akorat se mi nezda, ze se to chovani projevilo zrovna po instalaci nove verze distribuce. Takze si myslite, ze je to HW problem v disku a mam ho reklamovat? Je to dobrej napad, nebo blbej napad? Nebo jakej je to teda napad?

mám ten samý ntb. Raw_Read_Error_Rate a Hardware_ECC_Recovered u mě mají 134 miliónů! nabíhaji neustále, při běžném provozu. zvláštní je, že jen v linuxu, ve win to nepřibývá. takže tomu nepřikládám žádnou váhu.

Hardware_ECC_Recovered už vážnější je. já jsem na sedmi. tipuju si, že jsem si ty sektory pokazil sám, když jsem notebook za chodu přenášel/převážel. mám tam tech 7 realokovaných už asi rok a nové nepřibývají => závada se nešíří. doporučuju to sledovat, a pokud by se ten čítač zvetšoval, tak začít panikařit.

a zbytek toho smartu nechápu. hlásí nějakých 168 chyb, ale jak jsou vážné posoudit neumím. a dál jsou zajímavé ty nedokončené smart testy. pouštěl jsi je sám ručně? nebo to dělá opensuse? přerušoval jsi je?

Sam jsem zadne testy Smartem nepoustel, takze to je asi prace Opensuse. Stejne tak jsem testy neprerusoval, naopak nevylucuji, ze preruseni je dusledek vypnuti nebo restartu pocitace.

jo, restart by je přerušil. tak je zkus spustit ručně, co to udělá: "smartctl -t short /dev/sda". je to hotové za minutu/dvě a výsledky jsou v "smartclt -a /dev/sda".

ps: zálohuješ aspoň 2x za minutu, že jo?

tak tím jsem vyčerpal všechny nápady. vykašlal bych se na opensuse10.3, když to dělá jen v něm. zálohuj a hlídej si realokované sektory.
