apt-get install firmware-ipw3945Nebo ten balík můžeš nainstalovat pomocí synapticu. Pro použití iwl3945 by musel stáhnout jádro z debian testing. Jinak tahle karta mi fungovala s oběma ovladači. Podrobnější návod pro ipw3945

firmware_class 9472 1 iwl3945.
Pak jdu do nastavení sítí deaktivuji eth1, pak aktivuji wlan0 ( aktivac trvá neúměrně dlouho, cca 2 min ).
Po tom co naskočí že je wlan0 aktivní, jdu do rozhraní wlan0 - Správce wifi a tam vidím, mimo rozsah, síla signálu 0,
Hledám síť dvojtečka a nic atd. Ještě informace; veškerá činost v linuxu je zpomalená, př. na otevření okna terminálu normálně čekám 1 sekundu, ale když mám puštěnou wifi tak to trvá 45 sekund. Myslím že tady asi nebude vše ok.
Když kliknu na v\hledat sí%tě, je to se mnou rychle hotovo, ihned naskočí: "vyhledávání bylo dokončeno, ale žádné sítě nenalezeny.

ip l set wlan0 up nahodí síťovku, přes wpa_supplicant se autentizuješ a pak pustíš dhclient. Kdybys to chtěl automatizovat, tak k tomu slouží /etc/network/interfaces, např. takhle mám wifi nakonfigurovanou pro domácí síť
