Dotaz: xorg a wide display

zdravim.

snazim se rozjet xorg na mem notebooku v rozliseni 1280x800, ale neuspesne :o(( kde vzdy nabehne v rozliseni 1024x768 ....

modelines sem generovala pomoci programku gtf

mam notebook acer aspire 1363WLMi s GeForce5200 grafikou ...

pokud by nekdo vedel poradit co delam spatne, byla bych velmi vdecna

Možná to bude podobný problém, jako je popisovaný v Aspire 1412WLMi. Bohužel utilitka 855resolution asi nebude fungovat pro nVIDIA...

Co se píše v /var/log/Xorg.0.log? Důležité jsou řádky, které hlásí něco takového:

(II) MGA(0): Not using mode "1280x1024" (no mode of this name)
(II) MGA(0): Not using default mode "1920x1440" (insufficient memory for mode)

MGA je ovladač mé grafiky a za rozlišení si dosaď to požadované.

respektive mohla bych vas poprosit o zaslani xorg.conf ? (trinity.9@centrum.cz)

treba i pokud mate jiny notebook se mi podari z nej neco vydolovat a pouzit:o))

diky moc vsem za rady :o))

nakonec problem resi: gtf 1280 800 a refresh 59 misto 60 pak se hsync vejde do range 29-49, coz podporuje display. pri refresh 60 je tesne nad hodnotou 49 :o))
