Mozilla.cz informuje, že webový prohlížeč Firefox bude od verze 53 obsahovat integrovaný prohlížeč dat ve formátu JSON. Firefox kromě strukturovaného prohlížení nabídne také možnost filtrace a uložení na disk. Dle plánu by měl Firefox 53 vyjít 18. 4. 2017.

Členové a příznivci spolku OpenAlt se pravidelně schází v Praze a Brně. Fotky z pražských srazů za uplynulý rok si můžete prohlédnout na stránkách spolku. Příští sraz se koná už zítra 19. ledna – tentokrát je tématem ergonomie ovládání počítače – tzn. klávesnice, myši a další zařízení. Také budete mít příležitost si prohlédnout pražský hackerspace Brmlab.

Nadace pro svobodný software (FSF) oznámila aktualizaci seznamu prioritních oblastí (changelog), na které by se měli vývojáři a příznivci svobodného softwaru zaměřit. Jsou to například svobodný operační systém pro chytré telefony, hlasová a video komunikace nebo softwarový inteligentní osobní asistent.

Byl proveden bezpečnostní audit svobodného IMAP a POP3 serveru Dovecot (Wikipedie). Audit byl zaplacen z programu Mozilla Secure Open Source a provedla jej společnost Cure53. Společnost Cure53 byla velice spokojena s kvalitou zdrojových kódu. V závěrečné zprávě (pdf) jsou zmíněny pouze 3 drobné a v upstreamu již opravené bezpečnostní chyby.

Nadace Raspberry Pi představila na svém blogu Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3 (CM3 a CM3L), tj. zmenšené Raspberry Pi vhodné nejenom pro průmyslové využití. Jedná se o nástupce Raspberry Pi Compute Module (CM1) představeného v dubnu 2014. Nový CM3 vychází z Raspberry Pi 3 a má tedy dvakrát více paměti a desetkrát větší výkon než CM1.     Zdravim, poridil jsem si desku Intel Johnstown BLKD945GSEJT

    zklamal me ale vykon grafickeho chipu, seka se youtube (vice nez je na linux obvykle), mplayer vypada strasne a desktop je nechutne pomaly

    je tato grafika opravdu tak slaba nebo jsou nynejsi ovladace xorg-video-intel momentalne tak spatne?

    intel 945 teda 950 grafika nepatri medzi vykonne ale video (pokial sa nejedna o HD rozlisenie) a normalne veci isly (hovorim v minulom case) mali by ist dobre.. v dnesnej dobe ma linux sklamal..... vela veci je pokazenych... Intel grafiky, zvuk... a o RadeonHD ani nehovorim takze tak... nahod si tam OpenBSD alebo nejake BSD ak nechcem windows ale nieco free a uvidis rozdiel.

    Ta karta by měla být v pohodě, i HD na youtube vklidu přehrát, nějaké méně náročné hry zvládat (openarena). Co máš za distro? Kernel? Xorg ovladač? Mesu? Máš zaplé composite? Máš nejnovější flash? Nejsou v xorg logu nějaké hlody? Mám tuhle grafiku v notebooku a žádný problém, hlavně KDE4 jede líp než na nvidii.

    U tebe všechno vypadá OK, nejsem si jistý, jestli to je vůbec způsobené grafikou. Mám kdemod na archlinuxu, ale i na suse 11.2 to jede dobře.

    mam tiez tu grafiku v notebooku a s procesorom core2duo 1.06GHz a aj pri "tak slabom" procesore youtube, alebo divx, mpg5 videa idu stabilne a dokonca aj 3D, napriklad openarena ide plynule :-) btw, mam debian lenny a neskusal som natom nic novsie, takze neviem povedat ako su ovladace natom v tejto dobe, lenny ich uz ma dost zastarale.

    Mám stejnou grafiku, procesor Atom, distribuci Puppy 4.31, Operu 10 a je to velmi rychlé a bezproblémové.
