    Oznámeny byly nové Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4S. Vedle původní 1 GB varianty jsou nově k dispozici také varianty s 2 GB, 4 GB a 8 GB paměti. Compute Modules 4S mají na rozdíl od Compute Module 4 tvar a velikost Compute Module 3+ a předchozích. Lze tak provést snadný upgrade.

    USB mass storage v set-top-boxu

    Dobrý den,

    jsem naprostý začátečník a již mám menší problém.

    Mám STLinux a nefunguje tam USB mass storage. Přesneji řečeno tam chybí podpora mass storage a souborových systémů (FAT, FAT32, EXT2, EXT3).

    Jádro se u STlinux měmí příkazem modprobe, ale po příkazu vyhodí Cannot parse modules.dep (ten soubor v set-top-boxu není).

    A tady nevím, co s tím dál.

    Potřeboval bych podrobný postup krok za krokem, kde, co stáhnout a pomocí jakých příkazů to tam dostat a celé to rozchodit. Jednoduše řečeno, připojením nějakého USB média na USB se má v /root

    zobrazit

    /root/usb

    a používat to jako by to byl druhý interní hdd. Plný přístup zápis, čtení.

    Je tam usbcore.ko

    To je základni modul jádra pro USB. Je zaveden a funguje.

    Problém je, že modules.dep tam není.

    Bohužel nejde ani vygenerovat pomocí příkazu depmod, protože tam též není.

    Má někdo nějaký nápad, nebo nejlépe postup, co s tím?

    Nějak nechápu - pokud je ten linux přeložen bez nějakých částí které tam nejsou tak je musíš dodat pokud se tam dají nějak nahrát balíčky a pod....

    A nebo si ten linux musíš přeložit sám s volbama jaké potřebuješ.

    Já Linuxu moc nerozumím, ale pár amatérů v Linuxu se již o to pokoušelo a nepovedlo se jim to.

    Když mi napíšete postup, odkud mám co stáhnout a kam to překopírovat a jaké pokyny mám potom napsat, aby to fungovalo, tak to možná zprovozním.

    Já taky nejsem bůhvíjaký odborník ... zkusil bych načíst modul do jádra příkazem insmod usb_storage. Jestli tam není, tak bych zkusil stáhnout a nainstalovat balík usbutils (podle jádra a procesoru) ze stránek STLinux.com.

    Takže tam bohužel není.

    Já tomu vůbec nerozumím, takže bych chtěl požádat o přesný odkaz, kde, co stáhnout.

    Byl jsem na těch tzv. oficiálních stránkách STLinuxu, ale zdají se mi nějaké divné.

    Google toho našel více, ale co stáhnout?

    Používám OS Windows. Se set-top-boxem je PC propojen síťovým kabelem - napojení přes telnet pomocí WinSCP nebo PUTTY, potom ještě přes COM1 napojení na konzoly pomocí PUTTY.

    Když si od někud stáhnu ten správný balíček usbutils a uložím ho v PC na C:/a/

    Co dál?

    Ten balíček mohu dát do HFS - Http File Server 2.2f, aby se tam jednodušeji pomocí nějakého příkazu nahrál, nebo pomocí WinSCP ho rovnou nakopírovat do odpovídající složky a tam ho případně rozbalit, ale co dál? Potřebuji instrukce.

    Pročetl jsem všechny diskuse tady, na rootu i na forum.ican3800.zajsoft.net a zjišťuju, že to není tak jednoduché. Co vypisuje příkaz
    ls -l /dev/block
    Zkoušel jste flash disk naformátovat jako ext2 a připojit? Zkoušel jste příkazy apt-get, rpm, dpkg (balíčkovací systémy)?

    Ano, ext2 a jiné formáty byly zkoušeny, bohužel se stejným neúspěchem.

    - není podpora mass storage

    V našem FW to neudělá vůbec nic.

    V Cyber Vaca to alespoň vypíše typ té klíčenky (jsou tam trochu jiné moduly pro to USB).

    Ale POZOR v Cyber Vaca je i trochu jiné jádro, takže moduly přenosné rozhodně nejsou.

    Aplikace ale ano (ssh, mediacentrum a tak dále).

    Příkazy apt-get, rpm, dpkg u embeded systému neexistují, místo nich se používá ipkg (s parametry). Ale ani ten zde bohužel nemáme, stejně jako žádný repozitář, odkud by se ty binárky daly stáhnout.

    Podpora pro USB storage tam prostě není. Takže buď někde seženeš balíček s příslušným modulem, nebo si budeš muset zkompilovat vlastní modul (pokud se ti podaří sehnat toolchain přesně pro to jádro, co tam je), nebo si to budeš muset zkompilovat úplně celé.

    Já bych balíček prvně rozbalil (což na Windows možná uděláš cygwinem nebo nějakým 7zipem, ale nevím, Windows jsem nikdy pořádně nepoužíval) a podíval se, jestli tam je v /lib/modules příslušný modul. Protože já si myslím, že usb-utils jsou jenom binárky programů typu lsusb a jaderný modul tam nebude.

    Jelikož nemám tento přístroj a v tom vývojovém virtuálním systému je jiné jádro než máte, tak bych jen vyzkoušel odněkud stáhnout usb-storage.ko a nakopírovat jej do /lib/modules a zkusit insmod co to zahlásí shell a dmesg tail ... prosím nekamenovat ...

    Konečně se povedlo rozchodit USB.

    Trvalo to sice dva a půl roku, ale už to funguje.

    Španělskému týmu se povedlo na to najít vhodné moduly.

    Vývoj je sice v naprostém začátku, ale připojený USB flesch disk to rozpozná

    a je možno na něj po síti překopírovat soubory.

    Jaké jsou další plány, nebo spíše co potřebujeme:

    Zprovoznit

    USB myš

    USB klávesnici

    USB HDD

    USB WEB kamery

    na to všechno udělat automount

    Přidat nějaký FTP server.

    Rozchodi něco jako Webcam-Voice-Chat po internetu (Videokonference)

    Určitě někdo jiný zase používá něco jako USB dalekohled.

    Já bych potřeboval na tomto set-top-boxu zprovoznit USB mikroskop BRESSER.

    V práci ho připojujeme na starší počítač s malou obrazovkou, ikdyž máme v rohu místnosti set-top-box ADB3800TW připojený na velkou televizi. Provoz by byl ekonomičtější, pokud by se povedlo mikroskop připojit na set-top-box a zobrazovat obraz na televizi.
