Dotaz: Raspberry Pi 4 + KODI + projektor

Zdravím, chtěl bych se zeptat, zda někdo máte zkušenost s provozováním Raspberry Pi 4 Model B - 2GB RAM jako multimediálního centra s KODI a projektorem? Mám starší projektor s klasickým VGA vstupem, takže budu muset uvažovat o nějaké redukci na HDMI... Bude to fungovat? Řešil jste to již někdo?

Řešil jsem sice opačný problém, ale myslím, že to, co potřebujete, by taky neměl být problém, např. tohle je i pro zvuk. Neberte to jako tip, můžete vyzkoušet a případně vrátit.

Na na příležitostnou konverzi HDMI->DSUB využívám tento levnější adaptér.

Pozn. rPI4 má microHDMI výstupy, takže bude asi za potřebí ještě redukce microHDMI(male)=>HDMI(female).

RPI4 versus multimediální schopnosti) Nevím zda Kodi(OpenELEC) již pro tento HW vyzrály. Na druhou stranu FullHD obsah (který předpokládám s ohledem na nejspíš nízké nativní rozlišení projektoru 1024x768?) asi zvládne i hrubou silou CPU.

Mohu, pokud bude zájem výše uvedenou kombinaci na(rPI4=redukce=převodník_HDMI_DSUB=DSUB_kabel=Acer_H5360 .. starší projektor, který kromě disponuje vstupy HDMI i DSUB) prakticky vyzkoušet.

děkuji za informace. Ještě k poznámce: "Nevím zda Kodi(OpenELEC) již pro tento HW vyzrály." Myslíte že mám raději zkusit rPI3, kde je ten HW více prověřený? Mě je to vcelku jedno, jde mi jen o spolehlivý "video přehrávač", nepotřebuji videa v kvalitě 4K, ale potřebuji funkční projektor.

Zkusil jsem LibreELEC 9.2.5 (verze pro rPi4). FullHD HEVC/H.264 to zvladalo i pri bitratech 100Mbps+(HEVC 8-bit i 10-bit) pomoci HW decodingu se zatezi CPU jader 15-20% (k souboru pristupovano via SMB). 4K(UHD) obsah to sice HW decodovalo, ale s nizsim a ne zrovna plynulem framerate.

To sice neumí, ale mi netušíme jaký obsah se na něm má prezentovat. V UHD rozlišení dnes natáčí většina vybavenějších MT.

Používám LibreElec 9.2.5 s RPi4 a 4k video není problém, streamuju z dlna serveru. Ono je 4k a 4k. Mívám max 12GB mkv ripy a ty nemají zrovna 60 snímků/s.
Já osobně bych do rpi3 nešel, jedině rpi4. A pro Libreelec se už konečně rýsuje i kernel 5.x

Těch 140Mbps UHD v HEVCu je údajně taková teoretická meta (ripy BD UHD snad již větší bitrate nemají). Ještě náročnějšího jiného obsahu (v distribučních formátech) asi moc nebude.

Zkoušel jsem H.264 4K trailer (mizerných 25MBps) a seká se to. Je možné uvést příklad nějakého veřejně dostupného 4K/UHD souboru, který se Vám v LibreELEC 9.2.5 prokazatelně přehrává plynule (a z výstupu klávesy O úvest použitý způsob dekódování)? Případně použitý firmware.

V DaVinci Resolve jsem zkusil část projektu vyrenderovat v HEVCu (NVENC s limitem 20Mbps) a s tím si LibreELEC na rPI4 rozumí (vzal i Main10_80Mbps). Takže se to asi jen nesmí přehánět, nebo mu v těch dříve zmíněných videech neseděl nějaký parameter/feature.
