Hack rozliseni na AcerTravelMate 4651LMi

Hezky den,

mam nasledujici problem - vratil se mi z nekolikatydenni opravy sluzebni notebook - Acer TravelMate 4651LMi. Zkousel jsem nainstalovat OpenSuSE (bez problemu), bohuzel rozliseni jde stale nastavit na max. 1024x768.

Notebook ma integrovanou grafickou kartu od intelu (Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphic Controller).

Zkusil jsem tedy nainstalovat Ubuntu 7.10 (pro vyzkouseni rozliseni) a jiz s tim laboruji par dni, ale stale nic.

Co jsem zkousel: Nainstalovat 915resolution - menil jsem mod a rozliseni v /etc/default/915resolution ale bohuzel. Mod a rozliseni jsem bral z

sudo 915resolution -l

Zkousel jsem mod 38 i 49, ale nic.

Nicmene v Ubuntu 7.10 se pouziva experimentalni ovladac (intel), ktery by mel podporovat zmenu modu (modesetting) sam o sobe - bohuzel.

Pak jsem zkousel ruzne editovat xorg.conf (i kdyz se v tom bohuzel vubec nevyznam); zkousel jsem menit ovladace na kartu (vesa, i810), menit mody v konfiguraci, Virtual ale stale nic. Jedine ceho se mi podarilo docilit je obrazu na pul obrazovky (nejake sirokouhle rozliseni i kdyz jsem ho nikde nenastavoval) ale obraz je rozmazany a je na obrazovce ctyrikrat.

Nemate nekdo zkusenosti s timto typem notebooku? Popripade radu jak nakonfigurovat xorg.conf nebo 915resolution nebo cokoliv jineho abych dosahnul rozliseni aspon 1280x1024? Na 1024x768 se neda koukat...

Len jedna zmena nestaci. Na to aby ste mohol pouzit plne rozlisenie Vasho notebooku potrebujete v prvom rade spravne nastavene X v subore xorg.conf. Teda mal by ste mat v sekcii Screen uvedene rezimi ktore chcete pouzit.

Potom je na Vas ktory ovladac pouzijete. Ci i810 alebo intel. Ak pouzijete driver intel, uz nepotrebuje 915resolution, system by mal nabehnut v rozliseni 1400x1050. Samozrejme za predpokladu ze Vam sedia nazvy zariadeni...

V pripade ze pouzijete ovladac i810 je potrebne este spravne nastavit 915resolution. Napoveda po anglicky je tu: http://www.geocities.com/stomljen/

A malo by to ist. Ak nie, napiste sem Vas xorg.conf.

Dobry den,

diky za reakci. xorg.conf jsem upravil podle Vaseho navrhu (nebyly tam vypsany vsechny mody), ale stale zadna zmena. Jako ovladac pouzivam intel.

Zde je vypis xorg.conf bez klavesnice, mysi, tabletu...

Mimochodem co to je za rozliseni 1400x1050, to je sirokouhle? Tenhle Acer sirokouhly neni a presto jsem na toto rozliseni narazil uz v jednom navodu...

No neviem ake to je rozlisenie, ale ked som sa pozeral co za notebook to vlastne mate tak tam bolo ze 15" a rozlisenie 1400x1050. Info som cerpal z tejto stranky. Ak to nesedi a vasa konfiguracia je ina, dajte mi prosim vediet.

Najlepsie by bolo keby ste postol kompletny xorg.conf, pretoze ak je toto Va konfigurak mate tam niektore veci 2x.
