Stop motion je technika animace, při níž je reálný objekt mezi jednotlivými snímky ručně upravován a posouván o malé úseky, tak aby po spojení vyvolala animace dojem spojitosti. Jaký software lze pro stop motion použít na Linuxu? Článek na OMG! Ubuntu! představuje Heron Animation. Ten bohužel podporuje pouze webové kamery. Podpora digitálních zrcadlovek je začleněna například v programu qStopMotion.

Na Indiegogo byla spuštěna kampaň na podporu herní mini konzole a multimediálního centra RetroEngine Sigma od Doyodo. Předobjednat ji lze již od 49 dolarů. Požadovaná částka 20 000 dolarů byla překonána již 6 krát. Majitelé mini konzole si budou moci zahrát hry pro Atari VCS 2600, Sega Genesis nebo NES. Předinstalováno bude multimediální centrum Kodi.

Byla vydána verze 4.7 redakčního systému WordPress. Kódové označením Vaughan bylo vybráno na počest americké jazzové zpěvačky Sarah "Sassy" Vaughan. Z novinek lze zmínit například novou výchozí šablonu Twenty Seventeen, náhledy pdf souborů nebo WordPress REST API.

Byly zveřejněny informace o bezpečnostní chybě CVE-2016-8655 v Linuxu zneužitelné k lokální eskalaci práv. Chyba se dostala do linuxového jádra v srpnu 2011. V upstreamu byla opravena minulý týden [Hacker News].

Přibližně před měsícem bylo oznámeno, že linuxová distribuce SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) běží nově také Raspberry Pi 3 (dokumentace). Obraz verze 12 SP2 pro Raspberry Pi 3 je ke stažení zdarma. Pro registrované jsou po dobu jednoho roku zdarma také aktualizace. Dnes bylo oznámeno, že pro Raspberry Pi 3 je k dispozici také nové openSUSE Leap 42.2 (zprávička). K dispozici je hned několik obrazů.

OMG! Ubuntu! představuje emulátor terminálu Hyper (GitHub) postavený na webových technologiích (HTML, CSS a JavaScript). V diskusi k článku je zmíněn podobný emulátor terminálu Black Screen. Hyper i Black Screen používají framework Electron, stejně jako editor Atom nebo vývojové prostředí Visual Studio Code.

Fedora 8 - nejde zvuk na notebooku Packard Bell Easynote F5281

System se tvari jako ze zvukovka funguje, ale ve skutecnosti zvuk nejde.
Jedna se o notebook Packard Bell Easynote F5281 a pod Win XP zvuk jde, ale s Linuxem teprve zacinam a nevim si rady.

nemas ten zvuk pouze utiseny? Zkus si pohrat s alsamixerem

Tam bude jeste asi jina zrada: systemove pipani pri bootu jde, napr. kdyz pomoci "Function keys" pridavam nebo ubiram jas displeje nebo vypinam a zapinam zvuk, tak to jeste pipa, ale v urcitem okamziku behem bootu Linuxu to najednou ztichne a pak uz nevyloudi ani "n". A tohle to delalo i pri predchozi instalaci Suse SLED a SLES 10.0, na desktopu s ni ale zvuk sel. To systemove pipani jde pod Win i kdyz tam neni nainstalovany zvuk nebo i kdyz je notebook uplne bez operacniho systemu. Navic u tech ruznych grafickych panelu se vse tvari jako ze zvuk je normalne zapnuty a ukazuje to symbol repraku bez preskrtnuti a take testovaci zvuky se jakoby normalne prehravaji a cd prehravac se taky tvari jako ze hraje. Tim samozrejme nechci rict ze tam nekde neni nejake dukladne ukryte tlacitko jehoz kliknutim se vsechno rozehraje, ale zatim jsem ho nevidel.

No já mám v alsamixeru nastavení i pro PC Speaker a mám jej mute default. Schválně zkus ten alsamixer.

Alsamixer rika ze karta je PulseAudio a chipset taky, to se mi nezda. Mam za to ze karta je SiS?

To je nejaky divny, PulseAudio je neco uplne jineho. Hlavne bych se podival jestli master a PCM nejsou mute nebo 0. Aspon s intelem jsem mel tento problem.

Tak uz to JDE! Podle jineho diskuzniho fora jsem nasadil sluchatka a v Kmixu klikal na External Amplifier a kdyz to v nich cvakalo, bylo jasne ze to prece jen neco dela. Pak jsem zapnul mikrofonni vstup a po chvili jak se zvysovala citlivost mikrofonniho vstupu, tak zacaly byt postupne slyset ruchy kolem mikrofonu a kdyz jsem vytahnul sluchatka z jacku, cely notebook se rozpiskal zpetnou vazbou :-) Tak diky za nakopnuti tim spravnym smerem, uz jsem myslel ze se budou muset prepisovat zdrojaky ovladacu :-(
