Sun Grid provides easy and affordable access to an enormous computing resource for the predictable and all-inclusive price of $1/CPU-hr. SunGrid enables businesses, scientists and researchers to optimize performance, speed time to results, and accelerate innovation without investment in IT infrastructure build-out and without the long-term lifecycle costs related to capital, management, depreciation, and floor space.

SunGrid is a key new program within Sun focused at using Sun's software and hardware assets to build out an exciting new set of retail and commercial compute utility service offerings. The SunGrid compute utility is a complex system constituting a very broad range of technologies, components, and operational processes - all of which need a quality strategy and verification framework to ensure world class 'quality of service' for Sun customers.

SunGrid has an open position for a Quality Engineering Manager to manage a new group that is being set up in Prague which will be responsible for a key portion of SunGrid system and operational quality assurance validation. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a new and expanding quality assurance team focused at developing a quality verification framework for the SunGrid compute utility, and executing related test cycles per planned release schedules accordingly. Overseas travel is expected and the job will involve working in coordination with groups spread across 3 geographies.
