Postup zprovoznění pod Linuxem

Instaloval jsem Fedoru 16:

- PCIe čtečka karet vyžaduje ovladač rts_pstor, použil jsem ovladač od výrobce s kterým čtečka funguje, verzi z kernelu drivers/staging jsem nezkoušel

- Bluetooth je nutný povolit přes ACPI, k tomu je určený ovladač acer-wmi, který ale standardně nepodporuje Aspire D257; tj. bluetooth je odpojený z USB a nelze použít.
Řešením je patch modulu a kompilace, nebo kompilace patchnutého modulu pomocí skriptu, ke stažení na mé stránce.

- klávesová zkratka Fn+WiFi funguje až po zprovoznění acer-wmi, narozdíl od BT je ale WiFi po bootu aktivní i bez acer-wmi, WiFi lze alternativně stopnout pomocí NetManagera nebo příkazu rfkill, signalizační dioda reportuje aktivitu wifi správně

- HDD má zapnutý APM, který po 5s nečinnosti zaparkuje hlavičky !!, z důvodu častého přístupu na disk a nepřetřžitému provozu mám po 14-ti dnech 1/6 životnosti parkování pryč, protiopatření:
a) např. přes rc.local vypnout APM na disku po startu

Poznámka

Po popsaných úpravách výchozí instalace, funguje nakonec notebook kompletně, včetně uspávání, změny frekvence CPU 1000-1660MHz, všech kláves Fn+ ... .
