Dotaz: Změna grafické karty vs. DualWiev, všechno je jinak..

Do včerejšího dne jsem vlastnil stařičkou kartu nVidia GeForce 4 MX 440 a nyní jse si pořídil novější GeForce 7300. V xorg.conf jsem změnil hodnotu BusID na "2:0:0" a čekal jsem že vše poběží jako do dnes ale změna, ejhle ať dělám cokoliv nedokážu kontaktovat TV out. Nevíte jakou změnu mám v xorg.conf provést aby vše šlapalo jako dřív. Televize je jako druhý screen. xka se normálně spustí ale nekontaktují TV.

Použij TwinView, přikládám ukázkový konfigurák. Zajímá Tě z něj část startx -- -layout Television.

Žádným z tvých způsobů se mi nedaří kontaktovat tv-out. Tady patrně půjde o změněnou syntax, ale zatím jsem nepřišel na to jak. Běží někomu v xkách nvidia řady 7 s tv-outem? Která je píchnutá do Sběrnice PCI-E 16x.

V syntaxi asi problém nebude. Stejný konfigurák totiž používám s nejnovějšími ovladači na GeForce 7100 GS s X Window System Version 7.1.1.

Tak zkus klikátka nvidia-settings, nvidia-xconfig...

Prostě a jednoduše tv-out na Gigabyte 7300GT NX73T256P-RH s ovladači nvidia v SuSE 11.0 nefunguje. Důvod je patrně následující:
Nemám připojenou žádnou nepoužívanou televizi. Nechápu je ale fakt že než najedou iXka tak televize ukazuje boot PC a i spouštění distribuce včetně přepnutí se do textového režimu. Po najetí iXek se však tv out vypíná. Co s tím? Já jsem se s tím u starší karty nesetkal, že by tv out fungoval jen tak do chvíle než najedou iXka nebo jen tak v textovém režimu.

Zkus místo TV použít TV-0 nebo TV-1, jestli se změní/zmizí (WW).

TV-0 jsem zkoušel hned a to nepomohlo, na tvůj popud jsem tam ještě zkusil TV-1 a výsledek je stejný.

Jinak globálně z pohledu na SuSE 11.0 jsem poprvé zklamán z GNU/Linuxu. Funkcionalita je horší a horší, chyby se kupí a zrovna teď bych potřeboval aby vše fungovalo. :(

Co to píše do logu, když použiješ konfigurák, který jsem Ti posílal na začátku? Teď jsem ho zkoušel na 7100 a dle logu v příloze vše vypadá OK. Bohužel nemám po ruce kabel na vyzkoušení.

Není důvod být zklamaný z GNU/Linuxu, spíš nad troufalostí firem, které mají tu drzost prodávat HW s nekvalitními ovladači.

Tvoje konfigurace končí bez chyby v logu, dojde k protažení obrazu na dvě zobrazovací zařízení. Vše se zdá OK jenže TV je stále bez obrazu.

Tak jsem v šoku, nevěřím vlastním očím, všechno je úplně jinak. Neuvidět, neuvěřím.

Resumé: Vlastnil jsem kartu MSI GeForce 4 MX 440 s routo kartou byla dodávána jakási redukce z jakéhosi konektoru který na ní byl pro TV-out na cinch. Tuto redukci jsem chtěl také použít pro novou kartu Gigabyte GeForce 7300 GT, jelikož se zdáli konektory stejné. Taky TV-out do najetí X severu byl funkční, takže jsem tomu nevěnoval pozornost. Jenže jak tu píšu nemohl jsem rozjet TV-out ve spuštěném X serveru a důvodem byla a je ona redukce ze starší karty. "Nechápu." Po zoufalém rozbalení a použití nové redukce mi TV-out běží, tedy zatím pouze v režimu TwinWiev. DualWiev zkusím později. Prostě nečekané rozuzlení.
