Z příspěvku Turris Sentinel – co přinesl rok 2024 na blogu CZ.NIC: "Za poslední rok (únor 2024 – únor 2025) jsme zachytili 8,3 miliardy incidentů a to z 232 zemí a z jejich závislých území. Tyto útoky přišly od 6,2 milionu útočníků (respektive unikátních adres). SMTP minipot je stále nejlákavější pastí, zhruba 79 % útoků bylo směřováno na tento minipot, 16 % útoků směřovalo na minipot Telnet, 3 % útoků směřovaly na minipot HTTP a 2 % na minipot FTP. Dále jsme zaznamenali 3,2 milionu unikátních hesel a 318 tisíc unikátních loginů, které útočníci zkoušeli."

Výrobce dodává předinstalovanou distribuci Loonux, což je upravený Debian s podporou pro veškerý hardware. (Když jsem jej v létě 2010 kupoval, tak software byl z května, tedy aktuální). Jako firmware je otevřený PMON2000, který umí bootovat z disku (ext3) nebo přes TFTP ze sítě, obsahuje debugger a jiné vývojářské nástroje.
Výrobce poskytoval patche pro tehdejší jádro 2.6.26 a jeho zaměstnanci pro Xorg, ffmpeg, Firefox a podobně pro Debian a Gentoo.
Vanilkové jádro podporuje vše kromě programování GPIO na čipsetu na této architektuře, takže v něm nefunguje čtení senzorů a zapínání kamery a nějaké multimediální klávesy. Patch pro aktuální jádro (3.6) udržuji já. Jediné, co nefunguje pořádně je WiFi, protože ovladač rtl8187 neumí přijímat multicastové rámce.
Od xorg-serveru 1.13 zlobí akcelerace grafiky, protože Xorg zrušil akcelerační metodu XAA a EXA má v ovladaši SMI nějaké mouchy. Rovněž je nutné patchovat xorg-server, protože upstream není ochoten přijmout některé opravy. Patche lze najít v jejich Bugzille, nebo v Gentoo overlayi loongson nebo někde v Debianu nebo je mohu někde zveřenit já. To samé se týká SIMD optimalizací pro mplayer.
Z těchto důvodů klasifikuji podporu jako částečnou.
