Linuxové fotonovinky: digiKam 4.1.0 předvádí vylepšenou detekci tváří

Po téměř půl roce se vracíme k našemu nepravidelnému seriálu o novinkách v linuxových programech pro zpracování fotografií. Dnes to bude zejména o digiKamu 4, ale dojde též na další programy.

Jednoduché prohlížeče

Minule jsme si povídali o chystaném GwenView 4.13. Tato verze je samozřejmě již venku, dokonce i GwenView 4.13.1 z poloviny května. Ti, co program používají, již jistě spokojeně využívají možnosti náhledu RAWů, kterou 4.13.x implementuje.

GPicView z desktopu LXDE se nikam neposunulo. Vzhledem k četnosti vydávání nových verzí máme ještě nějaký ten měsíc čas, ale kdo ví, projekt LXDE pracuje na přechodu z GTK+ na Qt a v rámci projektu LXQt je nyní k dispozici nový prohlížeč obrázků LxImage-Qt. Poslední informace jsou z března a hovoří o přidání podpory tisku, náhledových obrázků, zabudovaného nástroje pro pořizování screenshotů, podpory slideshow, vylepšeného fullscreenu, vylepšeného dialogu nastavení a přidání dialogu s vlastnostmi souborů. LXQt je k dispozici v testovací verzi 0.7 a chystá se vydání 0.8 využívající Qt5.

Shotwell stihl od ledna pět nových verzí, přičemž tou poslední je 0.18.1. Opravují různé chyby, aktualizují publikování na Tumblr či na Flickru, který přešel na HTTPS. Shotwell také definitivně přešel pod křídla projektu GNOME.

Pro „(ne)běžné“ zpracování

digiKam 4.0 a 4.1

Minule jsme si povídali o beta verzích chystaného digiKamu 4.0. Mezitím vyšly ještě další a nakonec také v polovině května finální verze. Ta přinesla slibované novinky, zejména z GSoC 2013 (a projektu Vjačeslava Munteanuna) vzešlý nový nástroj pro správu tagů, resp. celých hiearchií tagů. Stejný autor implementoval také nástroj pro vícenásobný výběr, vícenásobné táhni-a-pusť, správce tagů, zobrazování tagů v bočním panelu a také zápis metadat o tvářích do formátu Windows Live Photo. Čtvrtá verze přinesla další nové nástroje (viz kompletní release notes), kromě jiného je program připravován pro přechod z Qt4 na Qt5. Snad se ještě mohu zmínit o podpoře vícejádrových CPU v některých nástrojích jako ostření, lokálním kontrastu, redukci šumu a všech vizuálních nástrojích.

Doslova před pár dny, 30. června vyšel digiKam 4.1.0. Přináší velký hack týkající se správy rozpoznávání tváří. Je zde nový overlay pro geolokační informace a maximální velikost náhledů vzrostla z 256 na 512 pixelů. Opravena byla řada nahlášených chyb.

Jako vždy prodělal spoustu dílčích oprav a aktualizací ImageMagick. Od ledna jsme se od verze 6.8.8-2 dostali k 6.8.9-5. Vše směřuje k vydání verze 7.0. Novinky se opět mimo jiné týkaly věcí kolem OpenCL.

GraphicsMagick od přelomu 2013/2014 nijak nepokročil, totéž platí i pro GIMP.

Vyvolání RAWů

Mezi RAW editory přišel darkTable se dvěma novými verzemi 1.4.1 a 1.4.2. Ta první přináší lepší plugin pro zrno (umožňuje menší hrubost), podporuje čtení i zápis TIFFů, má lepší modul pro stíny/světla a vylepšuje importní profily pro řadu fotoaparátů (Sony A77V, Nikon D5100, 1 V2, 1 J1, Pentax K3 a experimentálně Panasonic DMC-LF1, SONY DSC-RX100 II a NEX-3N). Verze 1.4.2 přišla s pročištěným kódem, který umožňuje pracovat s většími fotografiemi bez padání programu. Byl zahrnut kód pro AMAZE demozaikování z RAWTherapee, který obsahuje SSE2 optimalizace. Pro některé foťáky Olympus je zde detekce objektivů a zobrazení vzdálenosti zaostření. Přibyla také experimentální podpora pro Nikon D5300, D3300 a Samsung NX1100, NX30. Za velmi experimentální označují tvůrci podporu pro Olympus E-M10, kde stále není vyladěno barevné podání. A nakonec jsou zde nové profily pro Nikon D610 a Olympus E-PL5 a E-PM2. Kompletní přehled:

Ve druhé polovině května se objevilo RAWTherapee 4.1. Novinek je spousta, namátkou nové kapátko pro křivky, HDR DNG RAWy, zaměření na pleťové odstíny při kontrastu dle úrovní detailů, nový nástroj pro barevné kanály při převodu do čb či aktualizace na dcraw 9.20 přinášející podporu spousty nových foťáků.

Aktuální build programu Photivo pochází z konce května. Changelog na domovských stránkách ale není aktualizován. Jeden z autorů se ale před čtvrt rokem na přímý dotaz vyjádřil, že vývoj ukončen sice není, ale reálný život si žádá svůj čas a Photivo funguje bez nějakých kritických chyb, takže se teď nic moc ve vývoji neděje.

Komerční aplikace

VueScan povýšil z verze 9.4.21 na 9.4.33 vydané předevčírem. Vedle oprav a vylepšení týkajících se řady kancelářských skenerů či multifunkcí jsou zde vylepšení pro kinofilmové skenery Plustek a také podpora manuálního ostření pro Epson Perfection V700 a mnoho dalšího:

To co mi pořád v digikamu chybí, a prostě to tam nejsou ochotní udělat, je přechod na "next" "previous" okamžitě. Tedy pod 0,1 sec. Což by při našich pamětech klidně šlo s přednačtenými a spočítanými obrázky. Vítám podporu vícejader, ještě by to chtělo zapojit do zpracování obrázku procesory grafických karet, to by se efektivita/rychlost významně zvedla.

Digikam je bezva, ale fakt mi tam chybí klonovací razítko (to co je v Gimpu). Pri retuších starých skenů negativů je nepostradatelné, naštěstí máme ten Gimp :). Jo a taky by bylo dobré, aby nástroj výběru pro korekci červených očí byl kruhový a ne čtyřúhelník. Ono někdy to ty barvy detekuje všelijak a upraví do duhovku do tvaru čtverce - to si myslím, že by žádný problém nebyl a využilo by to více lidí než to razítko. Jinak fakt dobrý.
