Dobry vecer.. S linuxom prave zacinam a mam vo svojom notebooku kartu Intel PRO/Wireless 2011B LAN PC Card (PCMCIA) a potreboval by som ju nejako nainstalovat. Na nete som nasiel konfiguraciu

ale neviem co pohnut od bodu 4 potreboval by som pomoct od skusenych .Mam Mandrivu 2007 .Vsetkym dakujem.

V bodě 4 je napsáno, že se má editovat Makefile to je soubor v té složce orinoco-0.15rc4
A tam smažte:
KERNELRELEASE = $(shell sed -ne 's/"//g;s/^\#define UTS_RELEASE //p' \
$(KERNEL_PATH)/include/linux/version.h)

A místo toho napište:
KERNELRELEASE = 2.6.11-6mdk

Pokud by byly další problémy, tak se opět obraťte sem.

Pošlete sem výpis uname -r je možné, že KERNELRELEASE = 2.6.11-6mdk má být něco jiného. Popř. zkontrolovat co (jestli něco) je v /lib/modules/2.6.17-5mdv/build popřípadě nainstalovat kernel-sources. V /lib/modules by také měl být adresář vypadající nějak jako 2.6.17-5mdv. Tak by se mi taky hodilo vědět konkrétně jake tam je.
Myslím, že všechno děláte správně, jen Vám právě nepřeje konstelace hvězd Takže prosím poslete sm ty výpisy atd. a snad to spravíme.

budem ti strasne vdacni..lebo mam v notebooku tu kartu a chcel by som pouzivat WIFI ..Teraz idem stale na kabel. V notebooku mam aj zabudovanu minipci prism54 a tiez ju neviem nainstalovat...paradox 2 wifi karty a idem na kabel..dakujem

fakt ovladac je pouzity...nainstalovanie fwutil prebehlo uspesne ,ale karta v nastaveniach ostava neznama.netreba ju nejak ozivit v pcmcia ..napr.nejakymi prikazmi pre pcmcia???dakujem

3. pokud neexistuje tak jako root zadej mkdir /lib/firmware a potom pokracuj krokem zadej cp symbol_sp24t_* /lib/firmware/
