Dotaz: problem s HP 8540W - ubuntu 10.10. - graficky server

Cau chlapi, mam problem a sam se v nem placam uz nejaky cas a nemuzu na nic prijit. Koupil jsem si HP elitebook 8540w s i7 a nVidia FX1800. Na nb jsem supnul U10.10 x86_64 (bo tam mam 8gb ram), Problem byl uz pri instalaci kdy jsem musel uz instalaci z live cd s pustit s parametrem jadra NOMODESET aby vubec jelo Xko. Problem spusteni graficke nadstavby pretrval i po instlaci a aktualizacich. Bez parametru nomodeset ubuntu nenabehne a jen skonci s hlaskou ze noveau drivery nemaji display. Kdyz pak pomoci nastroje na instalaci ovladaci nainstaluju proprietarky od nvidie (verze 260.xx), ubuntu nabootuju jen pokud pripojim extermi monitor - protoze na vystupy posilaji obraz. Pokud bootoju jen s monutorem notebooku, bootovani skonci v konzoli, rucne nahodit Xko (startx) nezabere bo opet ubuntu napise, ze nema na cem Xko zpustit. Pokud teda nechym pripojeny externi display a ubuntu korektne nabehne, muzu spustit nvidia-xconfig i nvidia-settings ale problem je ze ani v tomto spravci nvidiackych nastaveni system NEVI ZE NOTEBOOK VUBEC NEJAKY DISPLAY MA - jakoby tam jednoduse neni nic, krom externiho pripojeneho monitoru. Xorg.conf uz sem nechal vygenerovat skrze nvidia-xconf nekolikrat ale vysledek je porad ten stejny - obraz jde jen na VGA (rgb) vystup nb nebo na displayport vystup. Syslog taky mlci. Jadro 2.6.35.22 i 24 - zkousel sem i dalsi jadara za mainline ale nezabralo. Hardwarove by nb mel byt v poradku bo WIDLE na tom bezi naprosto korektne (xp).. Mate nekdo nejakou ideu? Googlovanim jsem na nic rozumnho nenarazil :o(...diky moc.

Asi si nepřečte informace z monitoru. Takže zakázat čtení z monitoru (EDID a pod ....) a nastavit vše ručně (nacpat tam modeline...).

Vyskúšal by som grandr, či spozná obidva monitory, aj externý aj interný monitor. Pokiaľ áno, nastaviť ako predvolený interný monitor a nastaviť mu podporované rozlíšenie. Grandr treba doinštalovať sudo apt-get install grandr

Vypíše ti niečo takéto 02:00.0 VGA compatible controller ... Teraz napíš,

lspci -v -s 02:00.0

ale čísla 02:00.0 si zameň za také, ako vypísalo tebe.

Ahoj, LCD umi 1920x1080 pri 60hz. Problem je ze jde o displej, ktery asni neni moc znamy, je to nejaky 10bitovy displej LCD LED RGB. Podotykam ze s pripojenym lcd jako extreni monitor, takze si myslim ze veskere info co xrandr i nvidia xconfig dostvaji je z tohoto externiho lcd....

Zabudol som na dôležitú vec, aby nebol pri boote pripojený externý monitor až do momentu prihlásenia. Napadlo ma ešte, pozeral si nastavenia grafiky v biose, občas je tam zapnutá, alebo vypnutá nejaká pytomina čo vadí Linuxu a problém je na svete.

diky za radu...chtel sem vyhovet Benovi ale nevim moc jak to udelam bo kdyz botuju ve standardnim stavu, tj bez pripojeneho LCD a bez parametru nomodeset, komp vytuhne-jen nekolikrat problikne lcd notebooku a game over...neni mozne ho nijak resnout krom vypnuti, neni mozne se skrze ctrl+alt+F(cokoliv) dostat do zadneho terminalu...a myslim ze Benovi jde hlavne o to, aby videl co mu dmesg rekne po tom co nenahodi monitor notebooku...

Prepáč, ale celý víkend chlastám. Pokiaľ chceš presmerovať výstup nejakého programu do súboru stačí napr. dmesg > dmesg.txt Pretože defaul si v domovskom priečinku, tak aj tam sa uloží ten súbor. Ďalší príklad napríklad lsusb | grep VGA > vga.txt Je to presmerovanie výstupu do súboru.

Diky Beno, chlastani je OK!! Na vyreseni mojeho problemu nespecham takze klidek :o). Googlim co muzu ale stejnych problemu jako mam ja je na googlu jako safranu. Nicmene verim ze KAZDY kdo ma nb ve stejne konfiguraci (tedy nVidia a 10bitovy display DREAMCOLOR) je ve stejne prdeli jako ja :(. Tedko uz jsem do ubuntu zkusil supnout i beta drivery nvidie, verze 270.XX. ale beze zmeny..oporad se to chova identicky. Vlastni binarka z EDIDEM vyextrahovanym z widli take nezabira. Ruzne vlastni xorg.confy taky ne. Ignorace edidu v xorgu taky nic. Proste uz jsem zkusil a vycerpal snad vse, co je v ramci mojeho vedeni o linuxu. Otazka je jestli chyba muze byt vubec opravena nasimi pokusy nebo je to vylozene na nvidii a oprave jejich driveru. Nouveau si s tim nicmene tez neporadi a dokonce sem ho musel supnout do modprobe blacklistu jelikoz vse jeste vic komplikovalo. Pokud bys mel jeste nejake navrhy nebo chtel poslat logy xorgu nebo syslog, no problem. Dik za pomoc.

Ahoj Beno, hej nechapu ja uz nic ale NB uz funguje, proste jsem ho dneska zapl a najel...nechapu. LCD ubuntu detekuje jako DFP-7, rozlisko i frekvence jsou v poradku. Proste to najednou jede naprosto vzorne ale nejhorsi na tom je ze ja vubec nevim proc, co jsem udelal, co jsem neudelal, co se zmenilo...nevim. Kazdopadne proveri to secko cas. Tobe dekuju za ochotu a pomoc. Doufejme uz jenom, ze ted nebudu muset znovu potrebovat Tvou pomoc a zase otravovat. Diky Vam vsem panove, mam vazne radost.
