akurat ze oproti 1U to bude ~2x drahsie drzat v nejakom housingu, no... a to je na tom najhorsie - zelezo clovek kupi obcas aj celkom lacno, ale platit potom "podnajom" a konektivitu je ina vec..
vyuzit to mozes na hosting, ak mas na to nervy/casco treba java hosting? Tech, pokud vim, zrovna moc neni...
Z hlediska OS je ten javový aplikační server jeden proces (s hodně vlákny). Problém Javy na serveru není ve výkonu ani škálování (v tom je naopak vynikající), ale v tom, že není moc stavěná na veřejné hostingy. Udělat bezpečný veřejný hosting s Javou, kde vedle sebe budou žít aplikace stovek lidí, kteří si tam budou deployovat, co si zamanou, je o dost těžší, než provozovat apache+php.
neco web2.0, socialniho a s videem.Tenhle univerzální recept zatím u nás ještě nikomu nevyšel (neboť bych si toho nejspíš všiml, kdyby ano). Já si ale myslím, že to je jen otázka času, a srandu bych si z toho pro jistotu moc nedělal

Ale kdo nikdy nepsal SW (psal jen skripty), tak většinou neví, jakou hodnotu má rozšiřitelnost, přehlednost, znovupoužitelnost... *) přičemž z BASHe jde volat jakýkoli jiný program, takže tím jsou možnosti neomezené.
Tady je nekdo namachrovany jak svina.Píšeš o sobě, že?
To by ses divil, co vsechno jde v bashi.Mimochodem, nevidím důvod, proč bych se měl divit, co všecko jde v turing-complete jazyce napsat.
